Well you certainly can’t say writer/director/actor Miles Doleac isn’t prolific. In fact he;’s so prolific that, without realising, we’ve actually reviewed one of his movies almost every year since 2015 (2018 was the only year he didn’t release a featuyre); and now comes his fifth and latest, The Dinner Party – a cannibal horror that sees renowned surgeon and culinary enthusiast, Carmine Braun (Bill Sage), invites playwright, Jeffrey Duncan (Mike Mayhall), and his wife Haley (Alli Hart) to join his eccentric friends at their semi-annual dinner party, having promised to fund Duncan’s new play to Broadway. As the evening descends into madness, the group’s true intentions are revealed, along with an ancient secret...

"How often do you have these dinners?" Historia Films has debuted an official promo trailer for an indie horror film titled The Dinner Party, the latest horror creation from Mississippi native filmmaker / actor Miles Doleac. A budding playwright and his wife attend a dinner party hosted by wealthy, cultural elites, who've promised to bankroll his latest play to Broadway, but, in fact, have darker designs in mind for the couple. Sounds a bit too much like The Invitation, mixed with Ready or Not. This stars Bill Sage, Lindsay Anne Williams, Jeremy London, Mike Mayhall, Alli Hart, Ritchie Montgomery, and Doleac. It looks especially bland, but still might entice a few horror fans. Here's the first festival promo trailer for Miles Doleac's The Dinner Party, direct from YouTube: In the film, written and directed by the Banshee alum, a budding playwright and his wife attend a dinner party hosted by wealthy,...

A troubled, young history professor tries to escape his past by taking a job at a new university, where he struggles with an entrenched and equally-troubled department chair, rampant student apathy, and new relationships that complicate and challenge his world-view.
The Historian is a film that took me a long time to get into. It knows that it is a drama film, and so piles on extra drama. The main problem I found was that it wanted you to feel sorry for its characters and it did this by showing you scene after scene of reasons why you should feel sorry for them. The result is a bunch of characters that are more...

Re-Kill Clip. Valeri Milev‘s Re-Kill (2011) 6-Minute movie clip stars Roger R. Cross and Layke Anderson. Re-Kill‘s plot synopsis: “It’s been 5 years since the outbreak that wiped out 85% of the world’s population, but the war between Re-Animates (Re-Ans) and Humans wages on. Most of the major cities are still uninhabitable. Within the few surviving cities, the Re-Ans have been segregated into “zones” and are policed by the R-Division of the Quasi S.W.A.T. Unit who hunt to re-kill the Re-Ans in the hope of quelling a second outbreak.”
I didn’t pay much attention to this horror movie until I saw this extended movie clip for the film. Not bad.
More on what’s seen in the movie clip:
“R-Division, Frontline” is America’s #1 TV show in this Post-Apocalyptic world. Weekly, the show follows different R-Division units on the battlefield as they work to keep America Safe and Re-An free.
