Agent Dom Vail was on Season 1 of NCIS: Los Angeles — but didn’t make it out alive. Played by actor Adam Jamal Craig, he appeared in 15 episodes of the show. Craig’s acting credits also include smaller roles on shows like Heroes, Crossing Jordan, and Las Vegas. What happened to Dom on NCIS: Los Angeles? Agent Dominic Vail was originally partnered with Kensi Blye, who has been played by actress Daniela Ruah for years. He was a rookie agent at the time the show began and would end up being the unfortunate center of an episode arc. Dom was kidnapped, […]

NCIS: Los Angeles began and ended last night's episode, "Missing," with the disappearance of rookie agent Dom Vaile. The story was left wide open to interpretation.
Until now. Cast member Adam Jamal Craig (Dom) is leaving the hit procedural, according to Entertainment Weekly, which spoke with snow creator Shane Brennan.
The only question is when. Pretty much the only thing clear after last night was that this is the shocking, emotional story teased by producers earlier this month.
Adam Jamal Craig (Dom Vaile) is leaving NCIS: Los Angeles.
The pilot episode of Lost originally called for Jack to be killed off immediately after establishing him as the main character. Dom is no Jack, but his departure did come out of nowhere, and seemed to be engineered to generate the same kind of shock value.
Tuesday's episode left the character’s fate very much up in the air. Is Dom dead?...

Actress Claire Forlani ("Meet Joe Black") will play the recurring character 'Lauren Hunter' in the CBS TV 'police procedural' series "NCIS: Los Angeles", as the militaristic La team’s new 'Operations Manager'.
"NCIS: Los Angeles" ('Naval Criminal Investigative Service: Los Angeles') debuted on CBS September 22, 2009, as a spin-off of "NCIS", which itself was a spinoff of another CBS series, "Jag".
Created by Shane Brennan, the series stars Chris O'Donnell, Peter Cambor, Daniela Ruah, Eric Christian Olsen, Adam Jamal Craig, Barrett Foa, Renée Felice Smith, Linda Hunt and LL Cool J.
O'Donnell plays lead character, 'G. Callen', an agent whose natural talent for undercover work is considered 'legendary', LL Cool J is 'Special Agent Sam Hanna', a former Navy Seal, fluent in Arabic and an expert on Middle Eastern culture, Ruah is agent 'Kensi Blye', Olsen plays 'Marty Deeks', the team's liaison with the Los Angeles Police Department and Cambor plays 'Nate Getz',...

NCIS: Los Angeles - The First Season does an excellent job separating itself from the original NCIS series, and giving fans a reason to like the new series on its own. The show features a slicker feel, a little less comedy, and amps up the action. Like NCIS, it also features an ensemble cast with great chemistry. Led by Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J, NCIS: Los Angeles features standout performances from its cast of fresh faces including Daniela Ruah, Barrett Foa, Peter Cambor, and Adam Jamal Craig. It also benefits greatly from the brilliant performance of Linda Hunt. The series might be anchored in action, but Hunt brings the laughs and steals every scene she...

It’s a spinoff of a spinoff! NCIS: Los Angeles, the spinoff of the ever-popular NCIS, which is in itself a spinoff of the long-running Jag, hit DVD at the end of August. If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about, we have the breakdown for you here!
The Show
I’m sort of a probie to the Jag/NCIS universe. I only watched Jag when Steven Culp was making appearances as CIA agent Clayton Webb, and while I’ve seen my fair share of NCIS thanks to a crush on Mark Harmon, I’m not a truly regular viewer. When I heard that there was an NCIS spinoff, I went, “Really?” (I think I would’ve been even less impressed if it had debuted after we’d heard of Dick Wolf’s plans for Law & Order: Los Angeles.) However, I’ve liked Chris O’Donnell’s work since Batman Forever,...

Quite a night for Shane Brennan Tuesday. After a terrific NCIS, the executive producer's spinoff delivered a thrilling installment as well, continuing the story of Agent Vaile.
It was back in January that Dom went "Missing," nabbed by Colombian gangsters and handed over to more sinister, unknown captors who evaded the L.A. team's pursuit.
Last night, NCIS: Los Angeles finally revisited the issue of Dom's capture in "Found." The result was non-stop action reminiscent of a big-budget Jerry Bruckheimer film.
Upon receiving a video of Agent Vail being held by Muslim extremists demanding the return of an imprisoned terrorist in exchange, the Osp team sprung into action.
We had barely gotten to know Dom when he vanished, and some say his character was mishandled as a result, his loss clearly weighed on the team, particularly Sam.
Naturally, Sam would have boarded a plane for Africa, where he believed his young protege was being held,...

He's been missing ever since, well, "Missing." The January 26 episode of NCIS: Los Angeles shockingly saw one of the Special Projects office's own agents abducted.
The case went cold soon after.
Is it about to be reopened, though? The May 4 episode of the NCIS spinoff is called "Found," which alone got us thinking that Agent Dom Vail might reappear.
There's no doubt now, since the abducted character played by Adam Jamal Craig can be seen in the below after Callen & Co. get a tip about his whereabouts.
But we still don't know if he makes it, or why he was abducted in the first place. Any theories on either component to this unraveling NCIS: La mystery?
Agent Dom Vail has been gone for months. Now he's been found - at least by viewers. He looks to be in dire straits, however. Will the NCIS: Los Angeles team get to him in time?...

The title of NCIS: La's May 4 installment, "Found," should've been your first clue that a major breakthrough was imminent in the case of missing agent Dom (Adam Jamal Craig). We broke down last night's NCIS: Los Angeles in our "Chinatown" review. Here, we further discuss some of the events from the episode in a Round Table Q&A ...
1. What was your favorite scene from last night?
L.J. Gibbs: The conversation about why they aren't still looking for Dom, and what he would do in that situation. Who would have guessed that would lead them to the cloner and thus uncover the spy ring? Dom is gone, as we know, but certainly not forgotten.
M.L. House: Hettie putting Nate in his place so nonchalantly.
The Barnacle: The warehouse fight. While it might be more realistic for Sam and Callen to get their asses whomped one of these days, we are talking about Sam here. At least they incurred some scrapes after taking on a dozen guys themselves.
2. How would you rate the episode overall, on a scale of 1-5 stars?...

Last week's episode of NCIS: Los Angeles took what has been an enjoyable but often unremarkable NCIS spinoff and really put it on the map with an identity all its own.
Unfortunately for agent Dom Vaile (Adam Jamal Craig), that came at a heavy price. The hour ended without solving his abduction, leaving fans - and the cast - shocked.
"I didn't know it was going to happen; I was surprised," said Daniela Ruah, who plays Kensi.
"But just like on the original NCIS, you never know who's going to stay."
"You never know what to expect. For the audience, it's crazy and keeps people hooked on. For [the NCIS: Los Angeles cast], it can be a little scary here and there."
Executive producer Shane Brennan says Dom is gone and Craig will no longer be a regular part of the cast. But still, he says not to give up hope for Dom's survival.

CBS has given an early renewal to their new hit series, NCIS: Los Angeles. Though the early notice is certainly nice, it's essentially been a done deal for awhile.
NCIS: Los Angeles, a spin-off of NCIS, follows a crack team of operatives that are charged with keeping our country safe from threats to national security. The show stars Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J, Linda Hunt, Daniela Ruah, Adam Jamal Craig, and Peter Cambor.
The TV show got off to a very strong start in September and is still going strong. The dozen episodes that have aired so far have attracted an average of 16.8 million viewers and a 3.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
With numbers like that, a renewal was essentially a lock. If that wasn't enough, the series also has some extra insurance that most shows don't have.

Some new shows are struggling but the same can't be said for CBS' new Tuesday night shows.
NCIS: Los Angeles is a spin-off of the network's popular NCIS series and stars Chris O'Donnell, LL Cool J, Linda Hunt, Peter Cambor, Adam Jamal Craig, and Daniela Ruah.
The Good Wife revolves around the wife of a disgraced politician who's forced to re-enter the workforce. It stars Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski, Josh Charles, Archie Panjabi, Matt Czuchry, Makenzie Vega, and Graham Phillips.
The biggest winner of the Fall season for CBS is NCIS: La, ranking second among new and returning primetime shows. It's been averaging a whopping 17.47 million viewers and a 4.1/11 among adults 18-49.

The pact stems from Clark's performance as the lead in CBS' untitled U.S. attorney drama pilot last development season.
He is the third actor from a 2009 CBS drama pilot to land a major gig on the network after their project was not picked up.
Adam Jamal Craig and Eddie Cibrian of "Washington Field" were added as regulars to "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "CSI Miami," respectively.
The Aussie Clarke, repped by UTA and Robert Stein Management, starred on Showtime's "Brotherhood" and recently appeared in the feature "Public Enemies." He is filming the indie "Yelling to the Sky" and Oliver Stone's "Wall Street 2" for Fox.

Chicago – Doesn’t it feel like there will someday just be a few mystery franchises with several different iterations on the air? We have three versions of “Law & Order” and “CSI,” and now “NCIS” has joined in, expanding the franchise of this surprisingly popular show to “NCIS: Los Angeles” with appealing stars Chris O’Donnell and L.L. Cool J.
Television Rating: 3.5/5.0 “NCIS: Los Angeles” is an action/mystery show with theatrical caliber production values and two incredibly charismatic leads. If you were a betting man, I wouldn’t bet on this expansion of the “NCIS” franchise being cancelled any time this season, this TV year, or even the next. It’s practically a guaranteed hit that’s not going to set water coolers or critic’s groups on fire but fulfills a very human need for quality escapist television.
