While he's called Los Angeles home since the early 2000's, Kevin spent his childhood and formative years in Hopewell, a small town 20 minutes south of Richmond, Virginia, where he developed his love and skill for music at an early age. He went on to study music at Virginia Union University, earning a BA in Music (Jazz Piano and Composition) and graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1995. He also went through a specialized extensive program at UCLA for Film Scoring in 2007.
Kevin models his career after one of his musical icons and inspirations, Quincy Jones. Like Quincy, Kevin defies categorization and is always stretching and blurring the lines of his work. He constantly steps into many worlds of the music industry and is adept in multiple capacities.
