Storylines continue to unfold and situations become messier in the third episode of “Survivor 46.” Venus Vafa targets a new tribe member (only to suffer another blowback), the Siga Beware Advantage is found (turns out earlier than expected), and Bhanu Gopal goes through an existential meltdown on a tribe that cannot catch a break – until they do. Let’s break down all of the chaos in the third episode of the season, titled “Wackadoodles Win.”
The kumbaya tribe that is Siga finally has some drama as everyone goes on a group idol search to find the Beware Advantage, with Charlie Davis specifically declaring he would not share it with the rest of the tribe should he find it first, which was followed by Jemila “Jem” Hussain-Adams noticing it in a tree right under his nose. She took it a step further when she decided to read it in the middle of...

“Survivor” players know that only one person can win the game, but it always stings to be the first one eliminated. The pain of being booted first from your season has to be a difficult one to get over, especially for those who really wanted to play the game. First boots are often targeted because of age or challenge performance or etiquette around camp, and it’s sad to see people’s torch be snuffed after only three days on the island. Some early vote-offs make such an impression, however, that they are remembered even today. Above you can scroll through our gallery (or click here for direct access) of 20 memorable “Survivor” first boots, listed in order of appearance. We hope they get another chance to play again one day.

Survivor is an intense and thrilling competition show that never fails to deliver an edge-of-the-seat entertainment experience every season. The show stands as one of the longest-running reality competition shows in history, currently at Season 44, and has earned some contestants celebrity status.

Survivor players spend weeks isolated from the real world and have to rely on basic skills for survival. Given this disconnect, it’s no surprise that the game is a life-changing experience, and players often have a different outlook on “normal life” post-production. And for player Matt Bischoff, one of the experiences that changed for him was sex, saying it was unbelievable after the show.

Hidden Immunity Idols have been a “Survivor” staple since Season 11, “Guatemala,” when Gary Hogeboom found the elusive token. Since then, idols are being used on a much more strategic level, with some finders even playing it on other people in the game. It is an added layer to the game that continues to make players even more paranoid than they already were, fearful of being blindsided by the finder. But who’s found the most idols on “Survivor”? Scroll down for the updated list.
Some “Survivor” contestants are dangerously good at finding idols. Once you find one, it generally becomes easier to know what to look for. Players like Russell Hantz, Tony Vlachos, Tai Trang, Rick Devens and Kelley Wentworth have all attained multiple idols in the same season. Not everyone plays their idol correctly, and some infamously fail to play them at the right time, resulting in their elimination.

In our recent poll that asked which returning Male champion our readers most want to win “Survivor: Winners at War,” two men essentially tied for the top position: Rob Mariano at 27% and Yul Kwon at 25%. These former winners couldn’t be more different from each other, as Boston Rob is a “Survivor” legend who’s played a whopping four times (and mentored once), while Yul competed just one time 27 seasons ago. Rounding out the top four, Ethan Zohn came in with 16% while Tony Vlachos received 10% support. Do you agree or disagree with these Season 40 poll results? Sound off down in the comments section.

Survivor took its fourth victim on Wednesday night's episode, as fan favorite Malcolm Freberg was sent home.
In another Game Changers twist, Nuku and Mana were sent to tribal council after Tavua won the immunity challenge -- but only one castaway would be sent home.
Exclusive: 'Survivor' Castaway Caleb Reynolds on Bromance With Tai After 'Game Changers' Betrayal: 'He Had To'
With the numbers in favor of keeping all members of Nuku, the tribe just had to stick together and hope Mana didn't have a Hidden Immunity Idol... but that proved just a little too difficult. After whispering strategy through a discussion with Jeff Probst, both tribes ended up standing in huddles as they made their decisions on who to vote for.
Nuku settled on Sierra, while Mana decided on our favorite modern-day Fabio, whose fate was sealed after Tai guessed right, playing his idol for Sierra.

Will the demise of John Rocker from "Survivor: San Juan del Sur" bring about the end of this season's villainous, eye-rolling, dramatic chaos? One of our Top 10 contest leaders think so. "You always need people like this to keep the show entertaining," says current Top 10 contest user Danny (known as is2gucci in our world-famous forums), a 23-year-old Texas real estate manager originally from New York. With John gone, who does Danny think fits the bill for our next "Survivor" villain? Survivor has had its fair share of villains over the years. But it has also had a few people that have gone past that line of villainous play into something far more distasteful. There have been productive conversations about race relations —like when Jeff Probst (in one of his finest moments) mediated a dispute between Phillip and Steve on the Redemption Island season — but there have also been insensitive remarks hurled that have made viewers as uncomfortable as the contestants.
Keeping that in mind, I asked Probst if he was concerned that bringing in baseball pitcher John Rocker — who made...

"Survivor's" back, gang! Woo hoo! And this time around, there are no familiar faces in the cast, which is refreshing. The show is definitely in need of some new blood.
Season 28 (seriously, can you believe this is the 28th season?) is bringing with it a fun twist: Brains vs. Brawn vs. Beauty. We especially like it that each tribe is diverse. The brainiacs aren't a bunch of quote-unquote nerds who are going to get stomped in physical challenges and the beauty queens aren't, well, an actual tribe made up of only pageant contestants.
It should be a fun twist to watch play out, hopefully the tribes aren't dissolved too quickly. Either way, "Survivor: Cagayan" premieres at 8 p.m. Et/Pt on CBS with a two-hour episode, join us here for a live blog of all the fun.

The next season of The Real World wil return to San Francisco and risk comparisons to the show at its peak. However, ratings are sinking — the current season is attracting half as many viewers as 2011′s return to Las Vegas did. Thus, the iconic series may be heading towards its series finale but not before producers try to adjust the format. Well done, “Elizabeth” and “Phillip” — you’ve played the part of average American citizens well enough to help your FX drama snag three Television Critics Association Awards nominations.
You might want to call the Kgb for reinforcements, though — The Americans will face stiff competition from the likes of Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, and The Walking Dead, all of which are also up for Program of the Year. AMC’s drug drama, which begins its final run of episodes Aug. 11, also won three nominations overall — in the same three categories as The Americans.
This year’s TCA Awards will be presented Aug.

Say what you will about whether or not returning players have an unfair advantage within the game of "Survivor," I can say with certainty that returning players make the best "Survivor" exit interviews. If you think back on past seasons, folks like Coach and Russell Swan and Jonathan Penner have been responsible for my favorite post-elimination conversations, while highlights this season have come from veterans like Corinne Kaplan, Malcolm Freberg (a great interview when he was a newbie as well) and the always excitable Phillip Sheppard. “Last Push”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Despite the unpredictable second half of Survivor: Caramoan, a sense of inevitability dominates the finale. Cochran has avoided the vote throughout the game, and his victory feels secure after he wins the final immunity challenge. The only question is whether Dawn or Sherri will receive any votes, and the bitter jury makes it clear neither has much chance to crack the scoreboard. While Jeff Probst makes a huge deal about Cochran being unconventional, it’s not a surprise to see him win the million. Along with playing a strategic game, he has the likability factor that’s eluded powerful contestants like Russell Hantz at their Final Tribal Council. The jury needs to feel good about giving the million dollars to the winner, and only one possibility fits that requirement. Dawn received unfair nastiness from fans after Brenda’s exit,...

John Cochran, the nerdy underdog the first time around on "Survivor," played a masterful game when he returned to the show in Caramoan and won the coveted title of Sole Survivor by a unanimous jury vote. He tells Zap2it that it's awesome to win -- and we won't see him back on the show.
So, you're the Sole Survivor -- how does it feel?
"I mean, it feels so great because I'm a ridiculously huge fan of the show. It's 13 years of history building up to this .... the lineage of the show, with Richard Hatch and Parvati and Todd and Boston Rob. It's humbling."
Did you have any idea at the start of this "Survivor" season that you could make it all the way to the end, let alone win?
"I came back this season intending to go to the end. I didn't want to play again just to be on TV again.

After the last Tribal, Erik starts not feeling well. He says his head is killing him and everything's spinning -- do you suppose it's lack of food? Probably shouldn't have gone climbing that coconut tree yesterday.
The EMTs take his blood pressure and it's low (though not super low), but the doctors tell him he's not going back to camp. That's a bummer.
Everybody gives Erik platitudes and praise like he's dying of an Immunity Challenge-sustained injury or something. Not that we aren't sympathetic to how hard "Survivor" is -- but this is like the lamest medical evac ever.

Weeks of intense competition, alliances, betrayal, and elaborate mind games on Survivor all boiled down to one night, as the twenty-sixth Sole Survivor and $1 million prize winner was announced on Sunday.
After over a month in the Philippines' scenic Caramoan Islands, the competition, which began with ten fans and ten returning players, was reduced to five players: Sherri Biethman, John Cochran, Eddie Fox, Dawn Meehan, and Erik Reichenbach.

The returning players outnumbered the newcomers by one heading into the series finale, but that margin was soon evened when Erik, who originally appeared on Survivor: Micronesia, was forced to withdraw from the competition for medical reasons.
That left two males and two females remaining in the game. After reacting to the shocking news of Erik's late-competition departure, the final four reflected on the remainder of their sixteen departed fellow contestants.

Are you glad you went back on "Survivor?
"I'm definitely happy that I went back. This time was so much fun. I liked the people a lot more. I liked the people on Redemption Island, but I wasn't allowed to talk to the other tribe. Here I got to interact with everyone ... everyone was so much fun. I had a blast. It was cool to be a part of the season with epic Tribal Councils and blindsides."

Survivor Review, Season 26, Episode 11
“Come Over to the Dark Side”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
Survivor fans love players who make big moves and don’t coast to the end. They’d much rather see a strategist like Rob Cesternino jumping alliances and shaking up the game then watch a dominator like Kim Spradlin. It makes the game exciting and avoids the predictable boots that plagued the South Pacific and One World seasons. The danger for players is that going after the title often doesn’t work. The riskier strategy wins the love of the fans, particularly when it’s done without the arrogance of Russell Hantz. Can players win this way in the game’s current era, however? In a season of returning players, the paranoia is even higher. Telling the wrong person (i.e., Dawn) can ruin any plan. Last week, Malcolm executed a wonderful move...

Malcolm Freberg loves the game of Survivor. And he loves it when people make big moves. So it was no surprise when he said that if he was gonna go out, he wanted to go out big. And he certainly did — using two hidden immunity idols last week (one for himself and one for Eddie). But was that a smart move? That question comes into clearer focus after the fan favorite was voted off on last night’s episode of Survivor: Caramoan. Now, Malcolm calls into the InsideTV Podcast to tell Jessica Shaw and me if he regrets not...

Pre-credit Sequence. How will things change in the aftermath of the elimination of The Fun Sponge? Will fun magically reign? There's a bat in the trees and the Alphas are gloating. "With the execution of The Specialist Phillip Sheppard, I think Stealth R Us hopefully is going to fracture," Malcolm says. "If those six people stick together, I don't have a chance in this game," Malcolm adds. "The stability has been rocked out of the game," Erik says, relieved that he's finally allowed to talk to people Phillip didn't want him talking to. Erik figures that he has the ability to...

Can the Three Amigos pull off another crazy week on "Survivor: Caramoan"? Let's find out!
Madeline
After Tribal, nobody seems too upset about Phillip's ouster. Yeah, we can't imagine we'd cry too much over that one. But can the Three Amigos keep shaking things up? It'll be interesting to see what Erik does, since he flipped and nobody knows.
Erik enjoys being the swing vote, but as has been demonstrated before -- Erik is not exactly a master strategist in this game, so it remains to be seen if he actually works this to his advantage.
Meanwhile, Cochran is pretty pumped to have been part of such a crazy Tribal Council. Yeah, we would be too. The "Survivor" fans in us would completely lose our minds.
Speaking of losing one's mind, Brenda is freaking out a little bit about what this means for the Favorites alliance. Man, Brenda...

Survivor 26,Fans Vs Favorites eliminated Malcolm Freberg in episode 11 tonight. Tonight's episode kicked off with more conversation footage. Then they quickly hit up the Rewards challenge. This time, they just bid on various prizes with money they were given. Andrea won brownie points with the tribe by giving up her big food prize to score food for the tribe. Malcolm bought a clue for another possible immunity idol. Cochran bought an advantage in the immunity idol challenge. After all that, they showed more conversation footage, and Malcolm quickly went searching for the immunity idol. Andrea decided to stay with Malcolm all day long, because if he found the immunity idol, she thought she would be going home. Next, they showed Immunity challenge footage. In it, they had to hold a big log up with rope that had notches in it. Periodically, they had to continue moving down a notch until...

The Three Amigos reigned supreme last week on Survivor: Caramoan as they outsmarted the Special Agent and sent him off to the Ponderosa. I know many readers popped the corks off the champagne bottles over the end of Phillip, but I'm still a little bummed that I lost the major source of my comedy material. Now, I am begging for another player to keep things silly and zany so I can pretend to be witty again. This doesn't mean things aren't interesting, though. This week Malcolm has a big chance to take control of the game and convince someone from the majority to "Come Over to the Dark Side."...

Phillip Sheppard makes a lot of sense. The former federal agent, who dominated much of the screentime in this "Survivor: Caramoan" season with his Stealth R Us alliance-building, his increasingly heightened conflicts with Brandon Hantz and his ongoing devotion to Boston Rob, was voted out on Wednesday (April 17) night's episode in a Tribal Council shocker. Phillip's certitude has never wavered in his two "Survivor" seasons and it isn't a surprise that he sees Malcolm and the Alphas' big Tribal Council move as a validation of his strategic strength, rather than a condemnation of his "militaristic" dictatorship. It...

Phillip Sheppard, a.k.a. The Specialist, is the latest person voted out of "Survivor: Caramoan." He tells Zap2it
Are you glad you went back on "Survivor"?
"Absolutely. It's a wonderful opportunity to go back and show that not only can I bring back Stealth R Us and have fun out there and try to win a million dollars -- My first goal was to win a million dollars. My second goal was to show people that not only did I play a strategic game the first time I played ... but I also observed some things that Boston Rob did out there and I'm going to talk about those things and incorporate them into this season, so people can realize Phillip is a strategic player. He's a big enough of a threat, as we saw last night, when I was voted out of the game, to play two Idols.

"Survivor: Caramoan" offered what is maybe the craziest Tribal Council in the history of the show Wednesday night (April 17), when Malcolm busted out two hidden Idols, keeping his entire alliance safe and forcing Stealth R Us to scramble on the spot.
Phillip was ultimately sent home, which is both a relief and a bummer. Host Jeff Probst tells EW he loves Phillip and was sad to see him go.
"Any time Phillip says anything, anything at all, I'm interested ... while I most certainly have empathy for his fear of water, because it didn't seem to bother him in earlier water challenges, I also have a healthy amount of skepticism about his true motive," says Probst.
"It may very well be true that he simply cannot do certain things in the water and if that's the case it's a tragedy," he continues. "I am firmly planted in the 'love me some...

Each week, host Jeff Probst answers a few questions about the most recent episode of ‘Survivor: Caramoan — Fans vs. Favorites’.
Entertainment Weekly: You seemed pretty appalled when Phillip announced he wouldn’t be competing for immunity. At that point, did you secretly hope that karma would come back and bite him in the butt?
Jeff Probst: First off, some perspective… Any time Phillip says anything, anything at all, I’m interested. When he ups the stakes and declares something important or assigns a Stealth R Us name to another tribe mate, I immediately begin to zone out all other distractions.

Reynold Toepfer won immunity. Malcolm Freberg found a second hidden immunity idol -- in front of rivals Andrea and Dawn Meehan. Photos: Jeff Probst's

Survivor: Caramoan Review, Season 26, Episode 10
“Zipping Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”
Airs Wednesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS
This week’s Survivor episode is thrilling for so many reasons. It forces players to make decisions on the spot at Tribal Council, which rarely happens. The dominant alliance loses one of its members and can’t take the easy route with the vote. The immunity idols actually change the game and knock out a comfortable player. A truly surprising idol play like this one hasn’t happened since Heroes vs. Villains. Those factors would be enough to deliver a truly great episode, but there’s a bonus that pushes it into the stratosphere. The ultimate victim is actually Phillip Sheppard, who put himself at the center of the alliance and has enjoyed running the show. Even if he was a figurehead, that doesn’t make his exit any less satisfying.

Um, was that the craziest "Survivor" Tribal Council ever? It's definitely right up there.

After Tribal, Malcolm, Reynold and Eddie are clearly on the outs, as Stealth R Us heads off to have a meeting. The big alliance congratulates themselves on the bottom three not having an Idol, because nobody knows about Malcolm's. Hopefully his Idol doesn't go to waste.
In the morning, Dawn begins her total meltdown, yelling for Brenda and totally losing her mind. It's ... where is this coming from? Ohhhh, wait. Dawn lost her retainer that has some fake teeth on it because she got two knocked out once and she doesn't want to tell anyone because she's so self-conscious. Oh, Dawn. Oh, sweetie. We just want to give her the biggest hug. Don't be embarrassed! Awww. That, like, brought tears to our eyes. Are we alone in that?

Survivor 26,Fans Vs Favorites eliminated Phillip Sheppard in episode 10 tonight. The show kicked off with conversation footage. Brenda showed how sweet she can be by helping Dawn out when she lost her teeth retainer in the water. Apparently, it was pretty serious for Dawn, because she just started balling her eyes out over it. But Brenda was a hero. She put on her scuba gear, and dived in to look for the retainer, eventually finding it for Dawn. After that, Dawn gave her a huge hug and acted like Brenda just saved her from dying or something. It was incredibly emotional. I'm still sort of confused as to why it was so got damn serious, but whatever. From there, everyone headed to the Rewards challenge . It consisted of an obstacle course and shooting balls into baskets to cap it all off. The team that scored all their baskets first, won.

Multiple idols. A crazy blind side. Anyone else still reeling from what just happened? Tonight’s tribal council was the reason we love Survivor. What you thought going into tribal council was very different from what happened when the credits rolled.
And now, if you don’t live on the east coast or don’t want to know what happened, Look Away. Go read something else. Go meditate. Do something, because you don’t want tonight’s episode to be spoiled for you.
If you have just seen it and want a place to vent, discuss! Can you believe Mr.
