Still have a thirst for Asian horror that cannot be quenched? Even if you do, you know you'll be hungry again in an hour. That being said, our friends over at Twitch have score the first news on two new Far East tales of terror: Ghost Coins and Second Sight. Both are in 3D.
Ghost Coins is a new take on a classic tale to be directed by Pawat Panangkasiri, director of 2008′s In The Shadow of The Naga (Nak Prok). In the film “a group of teenagers are consumed by greed and defy tradition by stealing from the dead. A Thai belief instructs relatives to put coins in the mouth of the deceased for the afterlife. But for these reckless teenagers, even dead men’s money, stuck in their lifeless mouth, is still worth robbing. The corpses are decaying, half-rotten, swarmed by maggots. They stink to high heaven. But...

After a long and troubled journey, Pawat Panangkasiri’s crime/action flick The Shadow of the Naga (aka Nak-Prok) is now racing towards a release. That means new stuff! Enter stage left a cool new poster and an official site featuring a full length trailer. Naga opens on March 18th. Synopsis: Three robbers - Pan, Poor, and Singh - have robbed an armoured truck, and are being chased by the police. With nowhere to run, they decide to hide the loot by burying in the grounds of a Buddhist temple. When they come back to dig up the money, they are astonished to find that an extension to the monastery has been built directly above it. The thieves have no other options but to get themselves ordained into the temple just for a chance to dig up the cash. That is the start of an unexpected story which is about to get turned upside down.

If you’re a martial arts fan in any capacity, then you’re probably already painfully familiar with the Thai action scene. The work coming out of this country at the moment is, in a word, astounding, second only to the high-octane genre flicks that have poured out of France over the past decade. That being said, the promo reel/unofficial trailer for writer/director Pawat Panangkasiri’s upcoming endeavor “Nak Prok” looks very promising. The obvious language barrier prevents me from properly wrapping my brain around the specifics of the flick, but thanks to the folks at 24 Frames Per Second, a synopsis for the film has been provided below. From what I can gather, the film appears to be a dark comedy mixed with a fair amount of action and suspense, though this is only a guess. Once you’ve consumed the footage, you may feel otherwise. Here’s...

It’s been a long time coming, but with a release due in March some first footage Pawat Panangkasiri’s action flick The Shadow of Naka (aka Nak Prok) has turned up online. We say footage because this doesn’t look like a professionally put together trailer to us. More likely it’s a promo trail or test reel. Still, either way it’s a first chance to check out what could well be one of the action films of 2010.
