And nobody in all of Scotland is ever gonna bring her down. That’s the thesis, more or less, of Macbeth (An Undoing), a production from the Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh now at Brooklyn’s Theater for a New Audience, that strives to do for Lady Macbeth (Nicole Cooper) what Wicked did for the Wicked Witch of the West. But Zinnie Harris’s play never defies gravity in its laborious quest to reimagine and center Lady Macbeth’s story.
Perhaps Harris hasn’t seen a decent production of Shakespeare’s Macbeth. The smart ones articulate without textual revision what Macbeth (An Undoing) goes to such unsubtle lengths to declaim: Lady Macbeth is the more powerful, ingenious, compelling character, and it’s her coolly competent ambition, not her husband’s, that motors this play. No argument there.

Regent's Park Open Air Theatre have today announced their 2020 season which opens with their first newly commissioned musical, 101 Dalmatians 16 May a' 21 June, based on Dodie Smith's iconic story set in the heart of Regent's Park with book by Zinnie Harris and music and lyrics by Douglas Hodge. The production is directed by Timothy Sheader, with puppetry designed and directed by Toby Oli. Also confirmed are Katrina Lindsay Set and Costume Designer, Liam Steel Choreographer, Sarah Travis Musical Supervisor and Orchestrator, Howard Hudson Lighting Designer and Tarek Merchant Musical Director. Casting is by Jill Green, with children's casting by Verity Naughton.

The Royal Court Theatre announces a new season of work today, Friday 27 June, including new plays from Molly Davies, Zinnie Harris, Rory Mullarkey, Tim Price and Jack Thorne a debut play from first-time playwright Diana Nneka Atuona a collaboration between scientist Chris Rapley, playwright and director Duncan Macmillan and director Katie Mitchell and a new production for young people and their families - Enda Walsh's new adaptation of Roald Dahl's The Twits.

Acorn Productions is planning two new Agatha Christie adaptations for BBC One.
The first is a new adaptation of Christie's most successful work "And Then There Were None" which Sarah Phelps will write. A Christmas 2015 airing is planned.
The second is a six-part adventure thriller series adaptation of the "Partners in Crime" short stories which feature husband and wife detective duo Tommy and Tuppence Beresford.
The 1950s-set project will star David Walliams as Tommy, whilst Tuppence has yet to be cast. James Warwick and Francesca Annis played the roles in the previous 1980s TV series adaptation.
Award winning playwright Zinnie Harris will pen the first three episodes. Both efforts are the first of a planned reinvention of the Agatha Christie brand across a range of platforms by Acorn Productions.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Martha Lavey announced today the 201314 Subscription Season, including two world premieres, an American premiere and two Chicago premieres. The season begins in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre with Zinnie Harris's The Wheel, directed by ensemble member Tina Landau. Up next, ensemble member Austin Pendleton directs Tribes by Nina Raine. In the Upstairs Theatre, ensemble member Yasen Peyankov directs Russian Transport by Erika Sheffer.
