Carrie B. Johnson grew up in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and attended
Bishop McGuinness High School. She then attended the University of
Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, where she earned her bachelor's degree in
English with a Creative Writing emphasis.
After moving back to Oklahoma, Carrie entered the film program at Oklahoma City Community College and found her calling. She volunteered as Assistant to the Director on The Hunt (2006) and earned college credit as Location Manager on Surveillance (2006). She graduated with an associate's degree in film and video production in 2005.
On the advice of her mentors that she become an entertainment attorney, Carrie entered law school at Oklahoma City University in Fall of 2005 on a merit scholarship. She soon grew dissatisfied with this prospective career and withdrew from law school to go back to film work.
After serving as Production Coordinator on _Fun Park, The (2007)_ (V), a horror movie written and directed by Oklahoma City radio personality Rick Walker, Carrie moved to Burbank, California in August of 2006.
Although she now lives and works in the Los Angeles area, she maintains close ties to many Oklahoma filmmakers.
