Dame Joan Collins has issued a complain to Sadiq Khan after being almost knocked down by a cyclist.
The Dynasty actor, 89, was getting out of a taxi in Covent Garden when she says she was “crashed into” by a “masked cyclist with no lights and weaving on the pavement”.
The incident prompted her to post an Instagram message to Mayor of London to “do something” about cyclists who ‘consider themselves above the law”.
“Getting out of a #blackcab on the way to @rules_restaurant, we discovered #maidenlane was closed to all traffic,” she wrote on Thursday (23 February).
“However, that didn’t stop a masked #cyclist with no lights and weaving on the pavement from crashing into me, almost knocking me over. How much longer must we live with closed roads and cyclists who consider themselves above the law?
She continued: “Why don’t you do something @mayorofldn @sadiq before this...

It was the one that got away. "In 1960, I was offered a [movie] called Sons and Lovers, with Dean Stockwell," Joan Collins recently recalled to Town & Country. "I wanted to do it, and I don't think it was bad. However, I was living with and engaged to a young actor called Warren Beatty, who said, 'This is absolute crap.' So I turned it down." She soon came to regret that decision. "Mary Ure did it and was nominated for an Oscar," Joan said. "At that time I was more influenced by men." That didn't last long, though. "Everybody said to me, 'You'll be through by the time you're 24,'" Joan, 85 — who has just been cast opposite Jessica Lange in American Horror Story: Apocalypse, the next season of FX's Emmy-winning hit — shared. At a ceremony in Buckingham Palace on Thursday, Prince Charles, the first in line to the U.K. throne, presented the 81-year-old actress with an insignia for her new title of Commander of the Order of the British Empire (Cbe), which makes her an honorary dame, the female equivalent of a knight. Wearing a cream dress with a ruffled knee-length skirt, a matching cape jacket, black gloves, black and white pumps an ornate white pillbox hat with a black birdcage veil and bright red lipstick, Collins accepted the honor as her husband Percy Gibson, daughter Tara Newley and...

Collins delivers a strong night of old-school gossip, shameless name-dropping and celebrity score-settling that will delight her fans
Not many celebrities garner admiration from both camp connoisseurs and Ukip supporters, which makes an evening with Joan Collins potentially combustible from the outset. Fortunately, the audience is more gay couples and soap fans than far-right extremists, and Collins's autobiographical revue show wisely avoids the political.
It also avoids the personal to some extent, despite being about her life. Instead, we get rapid-fire edited highlights of a career that spiked massively with Dynasty and tailed off into B-movies and pantomime on either side. There's a bit of both to this show – directed by her husband, Percy Gibson (No 5, if you're counting). The threadbare set looks more am-dram I, Claudius than Alexis Carrington's boudoir, with a prop throne and a telephone on a side table that rings at strategic moments.

The actress talks about her showbusiness family, her five husbands and why she never ignores her sister Jackie's advice
I blame my grandmother for encouraging me to become an actress. She taught me to sing, tap dance and even do the splits – which I can still do. "Oh, Grandma, what bendy legs you have!" I squealed when, at Christmas at the Collins abode, she performed her famous splits to a packed room. It was a trick she had learned as a dancer and soubrette while touring the capes of South Africa with her two sisters, entertaining troops on leave from the Boer war. My father, Joe, followed her into the business and became a successful variety agent – our house was always full of performers. But he strongly discouraged me from becoming an actress and warned I would be washed up by 23.

Collins' Happy Family Down To Husband
Former Dynasty star Joan Collins has credited her toyboy husband with bringing her family back together.
Collins, 75, wed 43-year-old Percy Gibson in 2002 after four previous marriages, which produced three children - and she claims the theatre impresario is responsible for ending years of estrangement between her and daughters Tara and Katie, and son Sacha.
The actress admits her relationship with her kids has been "fragmented" in the past - but her marriage to Gibson has helped bring the family a lot closer.
She says, "He has brought our family together so much. I have three children by two previous husbands and it's always been a bit fragmented and Percy has managed to make our whole family meld into one unit.
"My three children and three grandchildren and also my sister and brother. It's all consolidated now, which it used not to be. He's the most wonderfully diplomatic and kind (person). He's wonderful and he genuinely loves them all, which I think makes a difference."...

Collins Regrets 'Filthy' Marriages
Veteran British star Joan Collins regrets her four failed marriages, calling them "my filth".
The celebrated actress, 75, insists husband number five, Percy Gibson, is the love of her life - and he'll be her last.
But some of her exes were big mistakes, made during periods of "madness".
Recalling each of her former marriages, Collins says, "The first time (Maxwell Reed), I was 18 and much too young. My second (Anthony Newley) and third (Ronald Kass), I had children from them."
But it's husband number four, Peter Holm, who comes in for the heaviest criticism.
The actress snarls, "(He) was a Swede and it (marriage) came in a moment of insanity... I was going through a madness phase."
Collins and Holm were married for less than two years.
The actress married her fifth husband, theatre boss Gibson, in 2002.
