The ‘Vibrant Vixen’ bundle that carries a new operator skin and other goodies is being dragged by a few on social media for how out-of-place it looks. The issue with anime skins stretches far, and it might be the last straw for some.

It's time to wrap your tongue around a new piece of gruesome sales art from the Roze directed horror 'Speak No Evil'. The movie stars Gabrielle Stone, the daughter of horror legend Dee Wallace ('The Howling', 'Cujo', 'Critters'), as Anna, a single mom, who receives little help in the search for her missing daughter until people realise that all of the town children have disappeared. When the kids do return, they are changed, diseased, and violent. Lovely stuff. Director Roze helms from a script he also wrote and the project also stars Greg Bronson, Sylvie Cohen, Michael Cortez, Madelynn Eldredge and Annalise Cavender. Head below for the new artwork....

*full disclosure: a DVD screener of this film was provided by Gas Mask Films. Director/writer: Roze. Cast: Greg Bronson, Annalise Cavender, Elisabeth Cavender, Gabrielle Stone and Ian Cavender. This critic knows director Roze from his previous thriller Deadfall Trail(review here). This earlier feature was light on action and heavy on confusing messages. Roze's second feature, Speak No Evil, might be even less straightforward. This title deals with an assault on the town of Superstition and the identity of the attacking forces is never revealed. Heavy on action and light on explanations, Roze's latest outing is only slightly recommended. The story's protagonist is Anna (Gabrielle Stone). Anna is the single mother of a young daughter, Joey (Olivia Cavender). Joey goes missing, after Anna sees something digging itself out of her backyard. Then, all of the children in Superstition disappear, until they trek back to town in Act II.

Gabrielle Stone, daughter of the legendary actress and scream queen Dee Wallace, is busting out on her own in a new film entitled Speak No Evil. The beautiful young rising star took some time to talk with Dread Central about the role and her future endeavors.
Stone spoke on her background and growing up as the daughter of a very busy actress. "I grew up in the business," Stone said. "My mom is Dee Wallace, who they call a legendary scream queen. She was the mom in E.T. and Cujo, and she was in The Howling. And my father, Christopher Stone, was also an actor, so I kind of grew up in the business on set with them. I always knew I wanted to be a part of the business, but when I did my first short film is when I realized I didn't ever want to do anything else again.

Kids. They don't shut up, end up breaking all your stuff, and will most likely cost you an arm and a leg for whatever remains of your life. If that's not enough, some of them have to go and get possessed by demons. Being a parent sucks.

Embracing Twitter can offer audience interaction and instant insight into how your program is being received beyond just a ratings number. At EncoreLive, moderator Magdalena Roze and panellists Amanda Collinge, Steven Murphy and First Dog on the Moon (Andrew Marlton) waded into the Twitterstream.
An audience show-of-hands gave an instant response to the EncoreLive Conference of how many people were still not sold on Twitter and its capabilities, but those beyond the walls had no idea how many hands were raised – a quick tweet could have told the rest of the world.
In February, Channel Nine cancelled Ben Elton’s Live from Planet Earth after just three episodes – not just from low ratings, but from bad press on Twitter. “The audience let us know very quickly that they weren’t enjoying the program,” FremantleMedia publicist Steven Murphy admitted. By the second episode, “the sledging had become part of the audience member’s enjoyment.

Deadfall Trail is a smallish indie production, which released in some theatres May 16, 2010. Recently, Fearnet.com has been hosting this horror title, as part of its online movies for April, 2011. This is director Roze's first feature film and so, the film suffers from some pacing issues, a stumbling plot direction and a missing unifying theme. The result is a beautiful (cinematography) film, but there is the mundane and a convoluted story to wade through, in the meantime.
Paul (Cavin Gray Schneider), John (Slade Hall) and Julian (Shane Dean) set out for an extended wilderness survival hike. There are no action sequences to hook your attention, nor interesting plot twists, early. Instead, you must wait for the tension to build between the newbie, Paul, and the experienced survivalist, Julian. Fourty-five minutes in and finally these two characters are butting heads, as...

This week's DVD and Blu-ray offerings are no longer a cash-sucking onslaught like the last few weeks, which does make it easier for our wallets.
First up, Centurion, Neil Marshall's fun epic, is finally available for us to take home, and we can definitely recommend it with good conscience. Also, series and movies from TV and their dead-tree companions are out, and they are surprisingly decent in this batch. (Well, one re-release is surely capitalizing on the popularity of its actor, and we bet you can figure out which one that is.) Finally, don't forget the duo release of a couple of Roger Corman flicks!

Something that needs to be on everyone's bucket list is a nude mud wrestle with a beautiful woman in blood. This is exactly what happens in this newest clip for the independent horror film Deadfall Trail. This first clip, courtesy of Quiet Earth, shows one male character naked wrestling with an anonymous female. Thankfully, there are no below the belt shots. The first poster for the film is also available and Deadfall Trail hopes to revitalize the survivalist wilderness horror genre that has been done well before by Cabin Fever, Deliverance, and others. Have a look at the first clip for Deadfall Trail entitled "Bloodbath," which might have been given a more exciting title like "Nude Blood Wrestling."

You know what, man? We're just gonna say it - Screw going into the woods! Too much bad shit happens there. At least cities (while still populated with their own fair share of loonies) have buildings you can duck into and people you could alert to your dangerous plight!
A trailer and clip popped up today for director "Roze"'s new indie horror film Deadfall Trail over at the official Deadfall Trail website. Dig on them below after the plot crunch.

There hasn't been a great wilderness survival film for a long time - at least one that didn't involve teens running from inbred cannibals. New indie thriller, Deadfall Trail, directed by newcomer "Roze" looks to put an end to the drought and I must say I'm extremely impressed with what I'm seeing - particularly in the clip titled "Bloodbath."
