- Joey Magliano was born on September 29, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. He was an actor, known for WCW Saturday Night (1985), WWE Raw (1993) and WCW Worldwide (1975). He died on October 15, 2006 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
- He received a severe shoulder injury in 1998 that never went away and ended his wrestling career.
- He began wrestling in 1987 in Georgia, with Buck Robley's Deep South Wrestling, which would become Southern Championship Wrestling. He'd work Mississippi and Louisiana before hitting his stride in Memphis, where he was USWA tag team champion with Rex King, and held the USWA Junior Heavyweight belt.
- His best known match was on January 30, 1991 at WCW Clash of the Champions #14, when he made Sid Vicious look like an unstoppable monster, taking a devastating powerbomb in the loss.
- In WCW, he was known as "Jumping" Joey Maggs. He also formed a masked tag team with Johnny Rich called The Creatures, just in time for the Halloween Havoc Clash of the Champions special in 1991.
- While stars today can get away with being under 6-foot, 250 pounds, in Maggs' heyday with WCW in 1991-1998, he was small and his size was somewhat detrimental to his career. He was used regularly as an enhancement worker.
- WCW was like a giant fraternity, we took care of each other like a family. Now, it seems more cutthroat, we were in it when it was still fun!
- A wrestling career, I'd certainly do it again! Nobody's ever had that kind of fun. I'd change a few things like the tights I wore but Tom (professional wrestler Tom Zenk) & I did things that people dream about, staying in first class hotels, flying first class, pampering yourself, buying sportscars & other luxuries.
