Staton 19 has been bringing the heat.
The Grey's Anatomy spin-off has made a name for itself and come into its own in the past six seasons, and it has been a positively thrilling ride.
Station 19 has undergone many changes over the year, from introducing and losing characters to shifts in storytelling and even switch-ups with showrunners.
During Station 19 Season 6, the series explored a few storylines, but most had a common theme that focused on mental health.
The theme impacted a handful of the series' characters with mixed results and focus. Still, it produced some strong episodes and even stronger performances by the show's talented cast.
The season also didn't have a shortage of relationship drama across the board with many of its characters.
Maya and Carina's marriage is temporarily on the rocks, Sullivan and Ross's secret relationship is the very definition of a rollercoaster ride, there's a messy...

Not much has changed in six months.
We got a six-month time jump on Station 19 Season 6 Episode 1, and we spent most of the hour catching up with where the characters are now while they battled a twister that ripped through some parts of Seattle.
There were attempts to set up arcs for a few characters, but it's still early in determining where they could head.
Coming off Station 19 Season 5 Episode 18, Jack had a heartbreaking turn of events and potentially one of the most promising storylines entering the new season.
We didn't get as much of him as one would hope, but with the conversations that Andy had about him and the response to his whereabouts, hopefully, his story arc can head somewhere meaningful.
It's off to an underwhelming start, though, only in the sense that we've done the usual bit of Jack handling things by tossing himself beneath inappropriate women dozens of times.

Can we collectively hug Jack Gibson? Because that poor soul deserves all the love.
You can tell the season is hurtling towards an end because they jammed a lot into Station 19 Season 5 Episode 17. We got updates on Andy's manslaughter trial, Travis considering the mayoral run, and Carina's green card situation coming to a head.
And they absolutely gutted us with some much-needed and delayed individual storytelling for Jack.
Do you see what happens when they give Grey Damon something worthy to chew on here? He's fabulous.
The only downside to this Jack-heavy hour and storyline is that it took this damn long to get it. We could've had this arc the whole time!
Gibson's ongoing issues as a man who grew up on the system and how that has impacted every aspect of who he is now -- has always been something that we know exists, but the series never...

Grey's Anatomy may be over for the season, but some of its most beloved characters are headed to Station 19 for its own season finale.
ABC announced today that Ellen Pompeo, Caterina Scorsone, Kim Raver, and Stefania Spanmpinato will appear on Station 19 Season 3 Episode 16 -- titled "Ticking Like a Bomb."
"Andy becomes painfully suspicious of the circumstances surrounding her mother’s death and goes to her aunt looking for answers," reads the official logline.
"Meanwhile, the members of the crew work to evacuate a doctor from Pac-North hospital and find themselves in a life-threatening situation; and Sullivan undergoes surgery for his chronic leg pain."
There's a good chance the reason for the Grey's cast members being a part of the episode is in the aftermath of the drama at Pac-North, which served as the hospital several Grey Sloan alum worked at early on Grey's Anatomy Season 16.
