- Once made 154 free throws in a row in basketball.
- The short film, "Standing Room Only", is inspired by actual events that Mike had with Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborah. The characters of Larry, Larry's Wife, and Larry's son are based on Mike and his parents.
- Mike is right handed, yet every injury he's ever had, has occurred on the left side of his body. Broken left pinkie finger; broken left hand; broken left wrist; dislocated left elbow; torn ligaments in left ankle; 30 stitches on left ring finger; broken big toe on left foot; scratched cornea of left eye...twice; broken nose to the left...three times.
- He was Vice President, Secretary, and Rush Chairman of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity while attending San Diego State University. He also attended the University of Maryland for one year before transferring to SDSU.
- Mike has set foot on the soil of the village that his family name has originated from in Arsita, Italy.
- Drove cross country from LA to NY, three times...in his third generation Toyota Camry.
- Backpacked throughout Europe for five months, South America & Central America for six months, and lived in Brazil for six months.
- Mike was a well respected "liquid dancer" in his club kid days during his youth. He was a proud fixture of the underground Southern California rave scene in the mid to late 90's and he appeared in a few magazines, a couple documentaries, and in one Hollywood film as a result. He attended the first ever Electric Daisy Carnival and Nocturnal Wonderland...which are both highly commercialized EDM festivals these days.
- Was invited to teach a film/acting class in Mpigi, Uganda by friend and filmmaker Jennifer Azano. Together, they exposed the students to the filmmaking / acting process for the first time in their lives and encouraged the kids to write their own short film. Within a span of 5 days, the students wrote, starred in, and crewed their own short film titled, "Son Rise". They premiered "Son Rise" in Kampala, Uganda in June 2016 and Mike had a cameo in the film as "Coach".
- He is a part of a team that developed a non-profit charity called "The Create Foundation & Academy" that is building a school in Uganda for children in need. They will provide kids aged 4 through 7 with a free education. They have also built a water well in the village where the school is being built, allowing for clean, potable water to exist for the community.
- Mike is a certified Reiki practitioner. It is the greatest honor and privilege for him to help people heal from physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy imbalances.
- Attended the 2012 Cannes Film Festival for the film "8:46".
- Some of the more interesting projects Mike has shot in his commercial career include: with the rock band "Papa Roach" for Pepsi Blue; with the College Gameday Crew for ESPN; with Anne Hathaway for Lancome; with Derek Jeter for Gatorade; and he shot an interactive on-line short film for Nissan called "Deja View" in which people could call in and become a part of the commercial. He's also done commercials for Apple; Miller Genuine Draft; Ribena (UK); and Bud Light.
