"How can we not talk about family when family’s all we got," Wiz Khalifa once said. It clearly is one of the most important things in any person’s life, without which they remain incomplete. It is the same in case of our most popular family man, aka Srikant Tiwari from Amazon Prime Video’s show - The Family Man.
While fans can’t get enough of Srikant Tiwari and his new nemesis, Raji, played by Samantha Akkineni, here is an appreciation for the key characters from this series without whom, the magic which this show has created would not be possible.
Suchitra (Priyamani)
The most important thing between a couple is understanding and respect for each other. Even though there were some hurdles in the lives of these love birds, Suchitra always had Srikant’s back and we can’t wait to see how their chemistry unfolds in the new season.

A central metaphorical symbol, a socio-political commentary, an independent rock band and a National award-winning director. These elements of Yeh Hai Bakrapur make for fantastic shades individually. Unfortunately, once weaved into the narrative design of cinema, the celluloid mosaic loses its aesthetic appeal and entertaining lustre.
A well-stroked hue of this silver screen sojourn lies in its cinematographer (Abinandhan Ramanujam) who awards a point of view to key moments in the motion picture. The first market scene that has sharp focus on the goat (the protagonist) while the human characters are out of focus, reiterates the sentiment of the title. Reversing the light-illuminating-darkness convention, Ramanujam hides his camera within the dingy, narrow folds of dark, narrow holes.
It seems irrational that while the audience unpacks the movie, it is left locating the absurd in logical character motivations and plot progression

It started with a simple idea. Anurag Kashyap, Sudhir Mishra and Chakri Toleti chose 12 directors from across India to make 10 minute short films. Each film will be part of a larger story. Not a collection of short stories but an integral part of a larger story. The main plot was written by Anurag Kashyap. Then the madness started. The 12 directors were chosen from 600 entries. They were given the plot and they came back with their section. Set in 12 different cities. So yes, 12 Directors unknown to each other have made 12 films short films and together they make a film that is 120 minutes long, which is going to be released on 12.12.12. The Last Act is the story of a psychopath killer who commits a crime and leaves 12 different clues around have to find the evidence for the answer to the crime. The 12 clues are left with evidences in 12 different cities of the country.

Unlike most of the film makers who prefer to erect huge village sets in Mumbai city, director Ajoy chose to shoot in a real village for his upcoming film, Dus Tola..To make a village story authentic, you cannot create it in a studio. Our entire film is based in the village. So we chose to shoot at actual location in Wai and Mahabaleshwar. Certain sequences were done at Gorai too. In fact Manoj.s jewelry shop in the film is an actual shop. We requested the local at Wai to loan it to us for a few days. The jewelry shown in the shop is all real. We really had to be very creative with our lighting and camera to get proper shots.. In fact quite a lot of locals are seen in many shots as crowd. In the film she is playing a small town girl which is performance oriented character. It was a scene with Manoj Bajpayee and she wanted to give her best to the shot. So, to get into the character and mood of the scene, she first rehearsed the scene and went to sit on a rock to seclude herself. "I did not want anybody to disturb my mood so I sat there with my eyes closed. I was mentally rehearsing it all the while. Then suddenly I realized that it had turned a bit too quite. I opened my eyes and was shocked to see water all around me. While I was sitting there, tide had risen and sea had totally surrounded the rock.

Manoj Bajpayee can really fool people with his easy demeanor and serious looks. But in reality he is an exact opposite of that. His producer of Dus Tola Kunwar Pragny Arya prefers to call him 'Naughty as a kid'.He recalls, "We were shooting back to back. Schedules were quite tight and we would wrap up the shoot late in night. The next day shoot would start by 9 am so we all had to get up latest by 7.30 am to reach the location. But on 3rd day of shoot, early in the morning at 6 am somebody rang the bell, asking for laundry. We were baffled but sent him off, thinking it's a genuine mistake. Entire day we were so sleepy on the sets. When we told Manoj, he was most sympathetic. But then every day somebody would ring the bell of our room at 6 in the morning and ask for laundry.

Truly Indie
NEW YORK -- It's not surprising that this low-budget comedy about an American corporate manager training employees in India is being adapted as a TV sitcom. The likable but utterly formulaic Outsourced plays a mild-mannered, cross-cultural variation on The Office.
Josh Hamilton stars as Todd, a 32-year-old manager for a Seattle company that makes cheesy gift knickknacks. When he and his sales team are unceremoniously fired and their jobs outsourced, Todd is given the final assignment of traveling to Mumbai to train his Indian replacement and staff, and bring their MPI ("minutes per incident") up to snuff.
The predictable screenplay, written by director John Jeffcoat and George Wing (50 First Dates), depicts Todd's uncomfortable reactions to his new environment, from the inevitable gastric distress to wonderment at the Indian reverence for family and community. Needless to say, by the time he's whipped his ragtag but endlessly enthusiastic and hard-working team into shape, he's learned to reappraise his shallow American values and also has found true love with Asha (Ayesha Dharker), one of his new employees, along the way.
That the film works to the extent that it does is thanks to its refreshingly light touch, authentic sense of milieu (it was shot on location in the brimming Indian city) and the charmingly understated performances. Hamilton thankfully restrains from hitting predictable notes as the ugly American; Dharker is wonderfully appealing as the savvy love interest; Asif Basra is quite amusing as the replacement sales manager looking forward to his arranged marriage, and stage veteran Larry Pine has a terrific cameo as an American expatriate who advises Todd how to relax and enjoy his new environment.
