Anne Heche, who starred in such films as Donnie Brasco, Volcano and Wag the Dog and on TV shows including Men in Trees and Hung during a troubled life and career, was taken off life support Sunday night, her rep announced.
Heche, 53, had spent several days in a coma at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills (California) Hospital and Medical Center after her Mini Cooper ran off the road Aug. 5 and smashed into a two-story home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, causing “structural compromise and erupting in heavy fire,” the L.A. Fire Department said.
She was taken from her vehicle and hospitalized in critical condition, and it took nearly 60 firefighters more than an hour to extinguish the blaze.

How soon is too soon? That’s the question on a lot of people’s minds following Louis C.K.’s surprise appearance at the Comedy Cellar in New York City over the weekend for his first stand-up routine since last November, when he admitted to multiple instances of sexual misconduct.
While some crisis management experts called the Emmy winner’s return to the stage premature, others told TheWrap it was as smooth a re-entry as anyone could have predicted less than a year after a very public disgrace.
“Nine months is not long enough — he came back a little too soon,” Richard Levick, chairman of crisis management firm Levick, told TheWrap. “Even Betty Ford spent more time out of circulation.”
Susan Tellem, a partner with Tellem Grody PR, Inc. in Malibu, California, agreed, telling TheWrap: “While as a crisis manager, I would have said, ‘No, do not do that’ to Louis Ck,...

Exclusive: The crisis public relations firm Sitrick And Company has resigned its post as spokesman for Harvey Weinstein. The firm was retained by Weinstein’s lawyers to handle PR for the mogul early last October, just as The New York Times and The New Yorker published stories alleging dozens of incidents of sexual misconduct. The board of directors of TWC summarily fired Weinstein when those stories hit. Since then, there have been criminal investigations, civil lawsuits, and more allegations made by former employees and actresses including Annabella Sciorra, Ashley Judd, Salma Hayek, Asia Argento, Rose McGowan and many others. The company that Weinstein built with brother Bob is now in bankruptcy, after an attempt to sell the assets to Yucaipa/Maria Contreras-Sweet/Lantern Capital fell through.

While the alleged sexual misconduct of Harvey Weinstein is now well-known, new details have emerged over how the movie mogul also reportedly misused funds from his own company.
A new report from People sister publication Fortune, alleges that for years Weinstein was protected by his billionaire board members at The Weinstein Company many of whom stuck by his side despite being deceived by the mogul who allegedly spent millions of dollars of TWC funds on his own personal projects.

Only Chris Brown knows what caused him to choke up on Sunday night at the Bet Awards during his tribute to Michael Jackson. Was it paying tribute to his late musical and dancing idol? Was it the emotion of performing on a major TV event for the first time in over a year in front of his peers? Was it the song's lyrics, which are about staring in the mirror and willing yourself to make a change?
Brown, whose career has stalled in the wake of his plea a year ago to felony assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna, grabbed a lion's share of the headlines in the wake of the emotional performance, earning higher placement in most...

There's nothing more delicate—or hard to crack—than a potential conspiracy involving underwear. Especially when there are two sides. To the conspiracy. Not to the underwear. At issue: Is the home of Dancing With the Stars out to get full-figured gals? Or is the plus-size clothier Lane Bryant out for free publicity? Let's review the case file: Lane Bryant has more or less accused ABC of rejecting its new 30-second, bra-and-panties spot for Dwts because the commercial throws its weight around. Literally. "We have never experienced this level of rejection," Lane Bryant spokeswoman Holly Baird tells E! News. "We do not believe beauty has a size." ABC tells...
