"This will be a weekend of light, love, and oneness." Get ready for a bonkers horror comedy arriving on 4/20 weekend. We missed this trailer when it first dropped a few weeks ago, but there's still time to catch up with it. Hanky Panky is a zany no-budget indie comedy made by filmmakers Lindsey Haun & Nick Roth, who were inspired by Wet Hot American Summer and Caddyshack. This is to be filed under the "Puppets & Blood" horror subgenre. A man and his sentient napkin friend save the world from a dark evil top-hat in a cabin deep in the Utah mountains, and also learn to love. Seth Green plays (or just voices?) the top-hat, and the cast includes Jacob DeMonte-Finn, Ashley Holliday Tavares, Christina Laskay, Anthony Rutowicz, Clare Grant, Azure Parsons, and Toby Bryan. The filmmakers explain they had "literally no budget, nobody got paid, everyone chipped in for food and drugs,...

“A man and a talking napkin save the world from an evil top-hat, and also learn to love” in Hanky Panky, which will be streaming April 19 on Google Play, Apple TV, Vudu, and Amazon.

The filmmakers preview, “Hanky Panky was inspired by the way certain zany comedies like Wet Hot American Summer and Caddyshack seemed to capture the energy of locking their whole cast and crew together in, say, a summer camp, or a coke-orgy fueled hotel in the middle of a Florida hurricane with Chevy Chase — and then somehow get that energy on screen.

Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin are reportedly now a family of four! The pair welcomed their second child, a boy named Carson, sometime before Christmas in 2022, Us Weekly confirmed on March 17. Reps for Culkin did not immediately respond to Popsugar's request for comment, and reps for Song could not be reached.
The couple first met on the set of their movie "Changeland" in 2017. Dating rumors began to swirl later that year when the pair were spotted on a double date with "Changeland" director Seth Green and his wife, Clare Grant. Culkin and Song welcomed their first child, a boy named Dakota Song Culkin, in April 2021, and they reportedly got engaged in 2022.
The stars have remained fairly private about their relationship and family, but they've occasionally opened up about it, with Song telling The Cut a bit about her approach to parenthood in 2022. "My boyfriend and I are very hands-on," she said.

"You hide, I seek." This is creepyy!! A new horror short film made by filmmakers Aaron Morgan and Eric Vespe (formerly known as "Quint" from his AICN days) is now online. Seek was supposed to premiere last year at the 2020 SXSW Film Festival, eventually playing at this year's Fantastic Fest. After driving all night, two sisters come across a dilapidated roadside park. It reveals itself to be more than meets the eye when one sister stumbles upon a mischievous resident inhabiting the bathroom that wants to play a sinister game... Who's hiding out in there? The film stars Allisyn Snyder, Clare Grant, and Steve Agee; with practical effects by two-time Academy Award-nominee Arjen Tuiten, based on concept designs by Weta Workshop. And there's a poster by artist Jc Richard as well. Nothing like a good horror short to make your heart rate go up. This makes me never want to...

Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin are the newest celeb parents, welcoming their son, Dakota Song Culkin, on April 5. For most of their four-year romance, they've kept things pretty low-key, to the point that plenty of people reacted with surprise that they were even a couple, let alone having a kid together! The story behind their meeting, though, is a Hollywood tale as old as time.
Like so many people in showbiz, Brenda and Macaulay actually met at work. In 2017, they both were cast in the movie Changeland, directed by Seth Green, a mutual friend and colleague. The movie - eventually released in 2019 - is an indie dramedy about a man (played by Green) who visits a longtime friend in Thailand for a change in scenery and some partying after going through an unexpected personal crisis. Macaulay plays Ian, a tour-boat owner with a huge personality, and Brenda plays Pen, a tour guide.

Director Michael Dougherty counts himself amongst those fans and tried to fill the sequel with as many hidden Easter eggs for franchise buffs as possible, from lore-inspired characters and weapons, to hidden roles for some of the geekiest celebrities in Hollywood. Now, thanks to a new interview with the filmmaker, we know about quite a few secret performances in one of the movie’s biggest actions sequences.

It’s always nice to see an actor showcase their writing and directing chops. Moreover, when the work they turn in the first time out is unlike anything they’ve done before, that’s all the more exciting. In the case of Seth Green, his broad comedy background would lead you to assume that his first outing behind the camera would be a raunchy laugh riot. While Changeland, out this week, is a comedy, it’s far lower key and resembles something closer to Garden State than Family Guy or Robot Chicken. Green definitely has some filmmaking chops, crafting a pleasant and lightly moving picture here. The movie is a comedy about dealing with pain and finding yourself. Brandon (Green) has invited his childhood best friend Dan (Breckin Meyer) on a trip to Thailand. It’s not meant for him, however. Brandon had prepaid for this vacation as an anniversary gift to his wife.

Seven international films have benefited from $2.14 million (THB68 million) in cash rebates since Thailand launched a production incentive program at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016.
Administered by the Thailand Film Office, the incentives provide 15% to 20% repayment of qualifying local spend.
At an event in Cannes on Friday, the Tfo said that the scheme is functioning well and that the Thai production industry is on course for a record year. In the first quarter of 2019, Thailand has already been used as a location for 28 feature films, with an aggregate local spend of more than $40 million.
“While producers are benefiting from the incentives, Thailand is also benefiting from the arrival of film and television productions. From the crews and facility companies, right through to hotels, domestic transport and the hospitality industry, the revenue earned through servicing international productions benefits many,” said Anan Wongbenjarat, deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism & Sport.

As they share breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experiences meant for a happy couple, their friendship is exposed as potentially strained as Brandon’s marriage. Another Sunday and another installment of VOD Vault, taking a look at some of this weeks on-demand releases that have hit various VOD platforms here in the UK. This week we have a very seasonal edition, featuring two films that take a horrific look at the holidays…
Krampus
Stars: Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner, Allison Tolman, Conchata Ferrell, Emjay Anthony, Stefania Lavie Owen, Krista Stadler | Directed by Michael Dougherty
Krampus has seemingly become the de jour villain in the horror genre recently. We’ve already had two movies featuring the evil anti-Santa, Krampus: The Christmas Devil and Krampus: The Reckoning; and now comes a third. Although unlike its seasonal brethren, this Krampus at least made it into cinemas – and so it should have. This is the latest film from director Michael Dougherty, who exploded onto the UK horror scene a few years back when his Halloween anthology Trick ‘r’ Treat was screened at Frightfest.

For centuries, annual holidays have been widely celebrated as a time to put aside one’s worries and responsibilities in order to come together with loved ones and enjoy each other’s company. Holidays are magical, not only because they represent a time of love and harmony, but also because many of them are commemorated on a global scale, making them not only a positive junction, but a universal one that can be shared by nearly all of humankind.
Although we can all look back on our happy moments as a collective people, we can also all relate to the sense of dread that often goes hand-in-hand with an approaching festivity. Holidays like Valentine’s Day can be ridiculously expensive, Christmastime can mean grueling hosting duties for many, as well as fights with family. Mother’s Day and Father’s Day can bring emotional baggage with it if a person has a lost parent,...

After a disappointing first half to Castle season 8, things are looking up. Could Castle finally be getting its old groove back?
This review contains spoilers.
8.10 Witness For The Prosecution & 8.11 Dead Red
Last week, we Castle diehards finally caught a real break. Not only did we get back-to-back episodes, but the episodes we got were largely what we love about the show: a good mystery, a little spice, and most importantly, the gang together and firing on all cylinders… even when they don’t.
The “when they don’t” come in early in Witness For The Prosecution when we find out that Rick witnessed a murder a few months before and is set to testify as the one eyewitness in what seems a slamdunk case. It’s the morning of, and Beckett is in her familiar role of trying to rein Castle in, explaining to him that his...

The joy of social media means we get a glimpse into the lives of stars that we'd normally never see otherwise, and the beauty of that was proven this week when Macaulay Culkin, Bob Saget, and Seth Green all hung out together -- and posted evidence on Instagram.
The unlikely trio of friends got together to celebrate Saget's new Broadway show, "Hand to God," a performance of which Culkin, Green, and Green's wife, actress Clare Grant, attended earlier this week. The foursome hung out backstage, taking goofy photos, and then brought the fun outside for a truly awesome -- and '90s-tastic -- selfie.
Saget shared the snap on social media, though he let Green have the photography honors. He captioned the photo, "Fun times last night after show in the #TimesSquare with friends@ClareGrant, Macaulay Culkin, and the master of the selfie, my pal @SethGreen."

The picture, which Bob posted to Instagram, is captioned, "Fun times last night after show in the #TimesSquare with friends @ClareGrant, Macaulay Culkin, and the master of the selfie, my pal @SethGreen." The surprising group of '90s-era friends was presumably out to support Bob's stint in the Tony-nominated Broadway comedy Hand to God, which Bob's former Full House costar Ashley Olsen is also a fan of. Check out the cute photo above, and then take a look at the entire cast of Netflix's Fuller House!

Meghan Trainor’s song "All About That Bass" is so catchy and addicting to listen to. Nerdist presents a Team Unicorn music video parody that mixes in Star Wars references called "All About That Base: No Rebels."
Team Unicorn is not the first to make a Star Wars parody using that hook. Youtube user Liminal Jay created a music video parody three days before Halloween. Team Unicorn did a much better job in my opinion in terms of lyrics, dancing, costumes, and references to both the original music video and Star Wars.
Details about the music video via Nerdist:
Meghan Trainor’s sassy “All About That Bass” has taken a trip to the galaxy far, far away in our latest Nerdist Presents: a new Team Unicorn music video! The Unicorns have dressed in Empire attire, brought in dancing stormtroopers and astromechs, added some Darth Sidious, and made the popular song an Imperial anthem.
