Peter Polanco joined the team as a grip and quickly learned the aspects
of film production. As shooting progressed, he earned the title of Key
Grip and even trained film students in their duties during the
production of "Mamochka - A Russian Folktale". In post, his talents
shone in creating a turn of the century Russian village as another
artist could not be found to produce the miniatures for the visual
effects sequence. This earned him the coveted Karl Malden Award at the
Thunderbird International Film Festival 2004.
His acting credits include Minority Report, Red Dragon, and various television productions. He was working at the Rivera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, California as an integral part of their culinary team between film productions. Peter loved preparing gourmet meals and deserts for friends and family. His life was taken in a traffic accident on December 4, 2006 at the age of 27.
