Exclusive: French-Anglo director J.K. Amalou’s off-beat Cannes and Saint Tropez-set crime comedy Queen Of Diamonds has begun principal photography on the French Riviera.
Popular French comedy actress Frédérique Bel, whose credits include Serial (Bad) Weddings and Ducobu Président!, plays a woman who settles in Cannes after the murder of her British husband in London.
Leo Gregory co-stars as one-half of a British police detective team who travel to Cannes to question the woman about the theft of the precious gem The Queen of Diamonds, which might have been handled by her deceased husband. Andy Beckwith plays his sidekick.
Not convinced they are really policemen, she evades them and a cat-and-mouse caper ensues across the French Riviera, with her path crossing that of a veteran diamond trader, played by Christophe Lambert. Gabriella Wright also features in the cast as his wife.

Tara Reid is set to star in a new psychological thriller “Sheila,” Variety can reveal.
Written by newcomers Jackie and Jennifer Moricz (better known collectively as The Moricz twins), whose work has been featured in the Blacklist, “Sheila” is described as a “modern day ‘Psycho.'”
“Left to run her family’s Suntan Motel for the week, Charlie takes a unique interest in the only guest, a girl in town for a bikini contest – Sheila,” reads the logline. “Tapped as the girl to beat in the 1980s bikini boom, it’s no surprise that when the story jumps twenty years, she’s known worldwide on a one-name basis. Sheila. Just Sheila.”
Fast-forward 20 years and viewers see Sheila’s Corvette in the bottom of the motel pool – with a body inside it – leading to the question of what really happened between Charlie and Sheila at the Suntan Motel in the last...

"Let's go do what we do and blow some things up!" Lionsgate + Millennium have released one final kooky "Lullaby" trailer for The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (otherwise known as Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard without the "the"), another action movie sequel arriving this summer. We've posted two other fun trailers before this one. This crazy trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman villain played by Antonio Banderas. Ryan Reynolds & Samuel L. Jackson return, with a huge cast including Salma Hayek, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wright, Alice McMillan, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Tom Hopper, Blake Ritson, and featuring Richard E. Grant. This is the kind of amusing, ridiculous marketing that's actually going to get people back into theaters to watch this - hell yes, Lionsgate. Here's the final "Lullaby" trailer for...

"Now let's go do what we do - and blow some things up!" Lionsgate + Millennium Media have debuted the full-length official trailer for the summer's The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (also known as Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard without the "the"), a sequel to that action movie a few years ago. The wacky odd couple is still completing missions, but this time they get entangled with Sonia Kincaid, played by Salma Hayek. The trio get in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stand between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman villain played by Antonio Banderas. Ryan Reynolds & Samuel L. Grant. This looks like fun, but only because it's formulaic action movie fun; even the jokes are obvious.

It’s arguable if 2017’s successful “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” film truly deserves its own sequel, even if it made money, but that said, the cast of Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Salma Hayek, in an action-comedy sound not so bad, right? Plus, there’s the supporting cast, Antonio Banderas, Morgan Freeman, Frank Grillo, Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wright, Alice McMillan, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Tom Hopper, Blake Ritson, with Richard E.

Ryan Reynolds is trying really hard not to kill anyone in the first trailer for “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.” In fact, he’s on a doctor-mandated psychological “sabbatical” from doing any work as a gun for hire.
That, of course, doesn’t stop him from getting into obscene fire fights and running for his life, this time while trying to protect not just Samuel L. Jackson’s hitman Darius Kincaid, but also Kincaid’s wife: the infamous, international con artist Sonia Kincaid, played by Salma Hayek.
“I promised my therapist no bodyguard. So that means no guns, no killing and no blood,” Reynolds says in the trailer as he attempts to subdue a bad guy.
“Are you using pepper spray?” Jackson responds before erupting into a laughing fit.
Patrick Hughes is returning to direct the sequel to 2017’s “The Hitman’s Bodyguard,” as is screenwriter Tom O’Connor, who wrote the story...

"Take as many of them out as you can." Arrow Films from the UK has debuted the first official trailer for an action thriller titled Security, which seems like a movie straight out of the 90s. Antonio Banderas stars as a special services veteran who is hired to work as a security guard at a shopping mall. Ben Kingsley also co-stars as a "psychopathic hijacker" who goes after a young girl who was going to testify as a witness in a trial. This sounds like another one of those formulaic action movies where they plug in all the usual tropes, including a young girl being chased by criminals, a former military man forced to do regular security work, and a crazy evil guy after all of them. Also starring Liam McIntyre, Chad Lindberg, Gabriella Wright, and Cung Le. This kind of looks like Die Hard in a shopping mall, but nowhere near as good.

My only worry was that no-one connected to the original films, apart from Luc Besson, had any part of this film… But then that was also the case with the series, and I really enjoyed that!

EuropaCorp USA released their new action movie, "The Transporter Refueled," into theaters today, September 4th, 2015, and all the top, major movie critics have turned in their reviews. It turns out that it didn't quite resonate too good with most of them, getting just an overall 31 score out of a possible 100 across 18 reviews at the Metacritic.com site. The film stars: Anatole Taubman, Ed Skrein, Gabriella Wright, Lenn Kudrjawizki, Loan Chabanol, Radivoje Bukvic, Ray Stevenson and Tatiana Pajkovic. We've provided blurbs from a few of the critics, below. Kyle Anderson from Entertainment Weekly, gave it a 67 grade. He stated: "It’s hard to deny the hedonistic joy in the way Delamarre plays with his various toys, and the goofball stunts—including the yacht-based finale, with a special appearance by a jet ski—are generally worth wandering through the dialogue desert." Andrew Barker over at Variety, gave it a 60 grade. He said:...

The Jason Statham-as-a-badass-chauffeur action franchise was not demanding another installment; the first three films did only moderately well at the box office, and likely only off Statham’s popularity anyway. Yet here we are, Statham wisely nowhere in sight and his replacement,...

For many, Jason Statham’s hard-boiled Frank Martin is The Transporter, given that the British hard man injected the cult action series with a tenacity that saved it from mediocrity. Now that The Stath has moved on to pastures anew, there are a lot of understandable concerns looming over Camille Delamarre’s (Brick Mansions) reboot effort, though the latest trailer and action-packed clip are an effective one-two punch that prove that, above anything, The Transporter Refueled will retain the franchise’s boisterous action sensibilities.
Supplanting Statham in the lead role is newcomer Ed Skrein, who plays a slightly different version of Frank Martin. While enjoying a holiday with his old man in southern France, Frank’s idyllic downtime is unceremoniously upended by a femme fatale and her group of highly-trained, seductive associates, who together convince our protagonist to orchestrate one of the ambitious bank heists in history.

It’s a brave move to set a movie in an apartment which is basically one room, and not allow the main actor to leave it. A new trailer for the upcoming reboot of the Transporter franchise, The Transporter Refueled, has been released. I'm not sure if Jason Statham said "No" to another film (that seems unlikely) or if Europacorp was merely interested in saving a little money on their leading man, but this time around it's Ed Skrein (Daario Naharis on "Game of Thrones") in the leading role and Brick Mansions helmer, Camille Delamarre, directing. They haven't changed the name of the lead character as Skrein will be playing Frank Martin, hired by Anna (Loan Chabanol) and her three sidekicks, only to realize he's been played. Anna and her cohorts have kidnapped Frank's father (Ray Stevenson) in order to coerce Frank into helping them take down a ruthless group of Russian human traffickers. Additional members of the cast include Lenn Kudrjawizki, Radivoje Bukvic, Gabriella Wright and Anatole Taubman The Transporter Refueled will release in theaters on Sept.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that Europa Corp. and 20th Century Fox would have called time on The Transporter series following the departure of hardboiled action veteran Jason Statham, but low and behold, seven years after the previous installment, an all-new trilogy beckons.
It’s one that will rev into action later this year with The Transporter Refueled, which ushers franchise newcomer Ed Skrein into the title role. Best known for his work on The Tunnel and Ill Manors, along with a part in next year’s Deadpool, the actor will get behind the wheel for Camille Delamarre’s soft reboot – one which seemingly retains the globe-trotting heist action from the original trilogy.
Mind you, The Stath brought a considerable amount of gravitas to the role of Frank Martin, lending a palpable sense of charm to an otherwise generic set-up. It’s understood Refueled will kick Statham’s character to the kerb,...

Dudes in cars driving really fast, punching people, and doing flip kicks or whatever will never get old, as there will always be adolescents who will enjoy that sort of thing. And so, while us older types have moved on from the limited charms of the Jason Statham-led "The Transporter" franchise, it's being rebooted for a whole new generation, because, obviously. Welcome to "The Transporter Refueled." (Sheesh). Anyway, Ed Skrein is now behind the wheel, tasked as they guy who can deliver dangerous or illegal packages with ease on four wheels. But things get hairy when he's hired by a trio of femme fatales to assist in a massive bank heist, which soon sees him tangling with Russian mobsters. And there's a father/son story in here too, because I guess we need character development or something. Co-starring Ray Stevenson, Gabriella Wright, Radivoje Bukvic, Anatole Taubman and Tatiana Pajkovic,...

EuropaCorp has pushed back the U.S. release of "The Transporter Refueled" by two and a half months.
Originally slated for June 19th, the film will now open on the Labor Day holiday weekend of September 4th. The early Fall bow is more in line with the three previous films which also came out during that season.
Part of the reason for the delay is that it means the cast can give the film a bigger promotional push, something seen as quite necessary as it's hoped this will be the start of a new trilogy.
Ed Skrein, Loan Chabanol, Radivoje Bukvic, Gabriella Wright, Anatole Taubman and Tatiana Pajkovic star in the Camille Delamarre-directed film.

The producers of Lucy and the Taken trilogy bring you the next adrenaline-fueled installment of The Transporter series, The Transporter Refueled, starring newcomer Ed Skrein as Frank Martin, the most highly-skilled transporter money can buy. The stakes are greater and technology better, but the same three simple rules apply: never change the deal, no names and never open the package.

It’s only been six years since the original Transporter trilogy came to a close, but now, Luc Besson’s production outfit is reviving the franchise’s still-twitching corpse.
The Transporter Refueled (previously dubbed Legacy) is a cunning title that points toward its rebooty-ness. The film stars Game Of Thrones‘ Ed Skrein as another incredibly skilled transporter. If you hadn’t already guessed; Jason Statham isn’t back in the saddle, but his replacement is more than capable of steering this latest offering.
Camille Delamarre (Brick Mansions) directs this first in a new trilogy from a script by Bill Collage and Adam Cooper (Exodus: Gods and Kings). Wiping the slate clean of Statham’s character, Refueled follows Skrein’s transporter as he vows to take out a bunch of Russian human traffickers holding his father hostage. A Euro-centric actioner in every sense, this teaser highlights the movie’s exotic locales,...

We all complain about reboots and remakes, but when Hollywood decides that now is the time to reboot The Transporter franchise, you can’t help but bring out the clichéd “They’re running out of new ideas!” argument.
Jason Statham won’t be back, and replacing him is sorta-lookalike Ed Skrein, an actor you may remember (albeit with a bit more hair) as playing Daario Naharis in season three of Game of Thrones. The cast is rounded out by Ray Stevenson, Radivoje Bukvic, Gabriella Wright, Anatole Taubman and Tatiana Pajkovic.
Bill Collage and Adam Cooper (Accepted and the upcoming Assassin’s Creed movie) penned the screenplay and Camille Delamarre directs. The Transporter Legacy is set to be released on March 6th, 2015.
The first few movies were met with a mixed/mostly negative response from critics, but this reboot could potentially be an improvement on the previous instalments. If nothing else,...

EuropaCorp’s Transporter trilogy truly marked the arrival of Jason Statham as a bona fide action star, and now the franchise is getting a reboot – albeit without Statham. However, The Transporter Legacy, as the fourth film in the series has recently been titled, may launch a new actor to action stardom.
Ed Skrein, known for playing Daario Naharis on HBO’s hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, will be taking on the role of Frank Martin, who is called The Transporter because he’s the best driver and mercenary money can buy. In The Transporter Legacy, Frank meets Anna (Loan Chabanol), the leader of a group of criminals. The pair team up and attempt to take down a group of ruthless Russian human traffickers who have also kidnapped Frank’s father (to be played by “a prominent thesp”).
