Heather got her start in the entertainment industry at the age of 8 as the "Joke of the Day Kid" on Dr. Don Rose's morning show in the San Francisco Bay Area. She sang with a traveling choir group, Brand New Sound and performed at Disneyland when she was 10. She studied acting at Judy Berlin's Kids on Camera in San Francisco between 1988-1989. In high school, she was part of an award-winning a Capella choir, and was both a singer and dancer in a number of musicals, including 42nd Street. In college, theater was her minor, and she was the V.P. of her theater department. She choreographed and acted in many productions, from Shakespeare, to Greek tragedy, to more contemporary productions. The highest grossing project Heather was a part of was Pursuit of Happyness.
After a hiatus during which she worked as a firefighter/EMT, and received a kidney transplant, Heather returned to acting in 2018 as a parent in Netflix's The Society. At the end of 2018, Heather and her husband Jim moved to Atlanta to further pursue her acting career. He is also her flight instructor in both fixed wing and helicopters. They share a love of all things aviation, and scuba. They also volunteer for the Civil Air Patrol flying search & rescue, and recon missions together.
