Earlier this month, an image cinematographer Christian Sebaldt shared on Instagram indicated that Final Destination 6 (which is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines) was finally, after years of development and a thirteen year gap between sequels, heading into production. The next day, producer Craig Perry took to social media to confirm that Final Destination: Bloodlines is indeed filming, the aim being to get this one into theatres in 2025 – in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film. It will even be on IMAX screens! Now The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the names of several cast members. They are Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Teo Briones (Chucky), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (The Friendship Game), Richard Harmon (The 100), Anna Lore (Gotham Knights), Owen Patrick Joyner (Julie and the Phantoms), Max Lloyd-Jones (The Book of Boba Fett), Rya Kihlstedt (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Tinpo Lee (The Manor).

Had things gone according to plan, Anna Kendrick would be attending the Toronto International Film Festival in support of her directorial debut, “Woman of the Hour”, which is making its world premiere at the film fest.
However, because Kendrick is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, she’s abiding by strike regulations prohibiting union members from promoting their projects.
“I am heartbroken to not be with you all in this moment.”
As People reported, prior to the film’s premiere screening at TIFF, the audience was read a special message from Kendrick.
“[This] film festival has proven time and time again that it is an artist-driven festival, and it has been my absolute honour to have TIFF as part of my career for the last 14 years,” Kendrick said in the statement, which was read by one of the movie’s producers.

This Star Wars: The Mandalorian article contains spoilers.
The Mandalorian season 3 kicks things into high gear with “The Pirate.” Gorian Shard wants to take Nevarro for himself but seriously underestimates Greef Karga’s connections. When Din, Bo-Katan, and the rest of the Mandalorians show up to kick the pirates out of town, all hell breaks loose in the skies above the city as well as on the ground. The Armorer smashes a few faces in with her hammer while Paz lays down the law with his gatling blaster, with air support from Din and Bo. By the end of the episode, Gorian has nowhere to go but down.
Unsurprisingly, the lead up and the battle itself cue up quite a few callbacks and references to other Star Wars stories, including a few cameos that should get fans excited for the future of the Mandoverse! Here are all the easter eggs...

After suffering a humiliating defeat, the Ducks’ morale was in the pits. Losing to Team Dominate was one thing, but doing so while their opponents played on their weaker sides was utterly deflating.
In this week’s episode of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Coach Alex tried to lift their spirits with a field trip to the Anaheim Ducks’ home arena. She called in a favor to Coach Bombay (he was mentioned, but did not appear), who set up a meeting with the NHL team’s coach for some much-needed guidance. [Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Episode 1 and Episode 2, “Part 1” and “Part II.”]
About 23 minutes into the premiere of “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” an old Star Wars friend shows up. First there’s an establishing shot of an unfamiliar city and planet, and then a montage of various people assisting a small child get dressed in a pristine white tunic with purple accents. There can be no mistaking that elaborate hairdo, even on such a tiny head: This is young Leia Organa.
Well, not exactly. It’s a friend Leia enlists to play a prank on her mother, but with a triumphant swell of John Williams and Natalie Holt’s score we quickly cut to the real Leia (Vivien Lyra Blair), sprinting through the forest while her braids trail behind her.
For too long — and probably still — Star Wars has been unable to quit Luke Skywalker. The hero of George Lucas’ original films, portrayed by Mark Hamill,...

In the season 2 finale of "The Mandalorian," "Star Wars" fans were treated to a surprise appearance by Luke Skywalker, the powerful Jedi hero from the original trilogy, thanks to some tech wizardry. Although original actor Mark Hamill was on set and delivering lines, he wasn't actually on camera. Instead, actor Max Lloyd-Jones -- who already bears a resemblance to Hamill circa "The Empire Strikes Back" -- also delivered Luke's lines with motion capture dots on his face, so that a digital mask could later be used to transform him (the dialogue itself was synthesized with voice-cloning technology, and Mark Rugetti performed the stunts...

Luke Skywalker made a surprising and epic return to "Star Wars" in the season two finale of "The Mandalorian," but it seemed unlikely that we'd see him reappear. Never count a Jedi out, though! Episode six of "The Book of Boba Fett" takes a detour from the adventures of Boba Fett and Fennec Shand and, instead, catches up with our favorite padawan, Grogu - and his Jedi master, Luke Skywalker, in the exact likeness of a young Mark Hamill, is right there, too. Of course, Mark Hamill is now 70 years old, so who played him in "The Book of Boba Fett"? How did the show pull off this trick of de-aging?
The end credits of the episode give us a pretty good idea of how things went down. Mark Hamill is listed in the credits, with his name appearing over the concept art illustration of Luke and Grogu. Also in the credits,...

This Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett article contains spoilers.
The Book of Boba Fett‘s climactic war against the Pykes grows ever nearer, but first it’s time for a reunion with some old friends. In fact, Din Djarin encounters much of his supporting cast from The Mandalorian in “From the Desert Comes a Stranger,” while on his quest to deliver a gift to Grogu. Meanwhile, Cobb Vanth is back and trying to uphold the law in Tatooine’s small towns in his own way. But the Pyke Syndicate has other ideas.
Here are all the Star Wars references and easter eggs we spotted in this episode…
Cad Bane and Corey Burton
– The blue Duro bounty hunter who appears near the end of the episode is a Star Wars staple. Cad Bane debuted in The Clone Wars, clashing with the likes of Obi-Wan Kenobi and taking the young Boba Fett into his gang.

The best-kept secret of “The Mandalorian” Season 2 was Mark Hamill’s surprise cameo in the finale as a young Luke Skywalker, who offers to complete baby Grogu’s training in The Force. Yet how Hamill was de-aged has been kept under wraps until this week’s episode of “Disney Gallery: Star Wars: The Mandalorian” on Disney+.
However, Industrial Light & Magic VFX supervisor, Richard Bluff, took a deeper dive into the de-aging process with IndieWire.
“We knew we had to be faithful to the look of [Luke Skywalker] around the time of ‘Return of the Jedi,’ which was the last movie we saw him at that age,” Bluff said. “And that was the look we had to reproduce. So it was important to [showrunner] Jon Favreau and [executive producer] Dave Filoni that we bring Mark Hamill in to perform there on set [at Manhattan Beach Studios in L.A.], dressed in costume [by costume designer Shawna Trpcic], and using him in every way possible — not only...

The Mandalorian season 2 finale pulled off a surprise that probably tops any of the shock twists in the Star Wars show to date. Just when Din Djarin and his allies were hopelessly cornered by Moff Gideon’s Dark Troopers, who should turn up to save them but Luke Skwalker, who’d sensed Baby Yoda through the Force. Luke’s cameo saw him at the height of his powers, singlehandedly taking down the deadly droids and then going off to train Grogu in the ways of the Jedi.
It’s unknown if we’ll be seeing more of Luke on the series in season 3, but for now, fans are hyped that he turned up for at least this brief comeback in the finale. Christmas came early for “Star Wars” fans everywhere this year with the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian” December 18, and, apparently, it was a real gift for Mark Hamill as well. In the episode, a CGI-youthened Hamill appeared as Luke Skywalker, lightsaber-slashing his way through a battalion of murder robots in a demonstration of his full Jedi abilities that we never quite saw in the Original Trilogy. In those films he only achieved knighthood at the very end, after intermittent and interrupted training. But seeing himself in full badass mode at the height of his Jedi powers is something the 69-year-old actor definitely wanted to see.
“Sometimes the greatest gifts are the most unexpected and something you never realized you wanted until it was given. #ThankYouJonAndDave,” Hamill tweeted on Sunday.
It’s fitting that it was Hamill’s appearance that energized fans in such a big way just before the start of the holidays.

The Mandalorian Luke Skywalker Deepfake Video — I had no problem with the way Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill and Max Lloyd-Jones) looked in The Mandalorian: Season 2, Episode 8: The Rescue. I was just glad he was there and used properly, in-line with his character from the original Star Wars films. Others, however, [...]

Out of all the surprising twists in the season two finale of The Mandalorian, the most shocking (and awesome) by far was the arrival of the Jedi that Grogu had connected with - and it turned out to be Luke Skywalker himself! With Luke's appearance here, set only a few years after Return of the Jedi, you might be wondering who actually was playing Luke, since Mark Hamill, obviously, is no longer the same age Luke should be at this point. But as it turns out, no one can play Luke like the original - it's really Hamill, with a little digital help.
Hamill was listed in the end credits of the episode, to remove any and all doubts about whether he was actively involved in shooting the pivotal scene where Luke arrives to answer Grogu's call and bring him to train as a Jedi. After the usual rundown of...

The Mandalorian blew the internet’s collective mind yet again with its season 2 finale last week as it ended with the one and only Luke Skywalker turning up to take Baby Yoda away. The climax of the episode was both thrilling and heartbreaking, as Din Djarin was forced to let Grogu head off to be trained up in the ways of the Force by the legendary Jedi Master. We were left with many questions after watching, but one of the biggest was, just how did they manage to pull that surprise cameo off?
Exec producer Jon Favreau has now opened up about the difficulty in keeping Hamill’s involvement in the finale a secret while speaking to Good Morning America. The showrunner – who also penned the episode – admitted that the crew were terrified the news was going to leak all the way up until “Chapter 16” actually premiered last Friday, explaining:...

When it came to putting together The Mandalorian‘s Season 2 finale, the Force was strong with the Disney+ hit’s secret-keeping. (Spoilers Ahead!)
Speaking about the surprise cameo that capped the finale, executive producer Jon Favreau said Monday on Good Morning America, “It was very tricky, because it’s very hard to keep a secret nowadays. There are so many people involved with the process. Every piece of [Season 2] casting leaked, so we were so scared, right up until it aired, that our surprise cameo was going to leak, too.”

(This article contains spoilers for the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian”)
We’re all still reeling from what happened on “The Mandalorian” in the Season 2 finale. It was quite a moment both for the TV portion of the “Star Wars” franchise and the films, bringing Luke Skywalker into “The Mandalorian,” even if it was just for a cameo, and giving a lot of weight to the shows Disney has in the works for next year and beyond.
Up to this point, “The Mandalorian” hadn’t really tried much to interact with the movies. We had Boba Fett show up, but that was a pretty natural outgrowth given the subject matter. And, honestly, Boba Fett was a pretty minor character in the scheme of things. That’s no insult to the character, but we should all be able to agree that his inclusion doesn’t carry a tenth of the weight as including Luke Skywalker does.

When Luke Skywalker showed up on “The Mandalorian,” it certainly looked a lot like the Jedi we know and love. And we’d recognize Mark Hamill’s voice a mile away. But the actual in-the-flesh actor was Max Lloyd-Jones. Let us introduce you.
Although the London-born thespian isn’t a household name, he has a pretty solid resume, including “Adventures in Baby-Sitting,” “The Sandlot,” “iZombie,” “Switched at Birth” and “Project Blue Book.” And perhaps most interestingly, he’s credited for the role of Blue Eyes, a.k.a. the chimpanzee in “War for the Planet of the Apes.” That’s a pretty high-profile CGI-based role, so it makes sense as to why Lucasfilm might have turned to him to do some CGI acting for one of their most famous Jedis.

In a season full of secrets, this week’s The Mandalorian finale delivered what was arguably its biggest. When Din Djarin and his allies were in deadly danger, who should come and save their lives but Luke Skywalker! The young Jedi, at this point in the timeline at the height of his powers, plowed through a platoon of Dark Troopers before taking Grogu with him to train up the little guy in the ways of the Force. It was a cameo that not only blew fans’ minds, but also completely changed the dynamics of the show.
So, the big question is: will we be seeing young Luke again? Well, according to insider Daniel Richtman, we will. As per intel shared on his Patreon page, the hero will be returning following his comeback in the finale. Exactly where isn’t clear, but it’s possible he could show up in any...

In “The Rescue,” one major cameo takes The Mandalorian season 2 finale home. Din and his friends have discovered where Moff Gideon has taken Grogu, and it doesn’t take them long to launch an attack on his flagship. Once there, the finale delivers on all the blasting, darksaber fights, and surprise cameos you could want, playing coy only with Grogu himself.
“The Rescue,” directed by Peyton Reed and written by showrunner Jon Favreau, has a couple major Star Wars connections and not as many little Easter eggs. Let’s just say you might want to re-watch Return of the Jedi.
Here are all the Star Wars easter eggs and references we spotted in this episode:

This one’s on me.
While the realities of running a site like this often mean we have to cover spoilers when we see people are looking for answers, the way we went about this one was wrong. As a result, we’ve spoiled The Mandalorian ending for many of you. This certainly wasn’t done out of malice, or even greed, but I was careless and ultimately it was thoughtless.
And when I say “we,” I mean “me.”
This was my call, and it was the wrong one.
While covering spoilers is unavoidable when we see readers are searching for answers, we usually try and hide things as best we can, without putting them on social media or the front page. My rationale is usually that you have to be searching for a particular spoiler in order to find it.

Fans of The Mandalorian are still digesting everything that happened in the season 2 finale, specifically when it comes to a beloved Star Wars legend making a comeback.
The second season of Jon Favreau’s live-action series finally came to a close today and the eight-week run had many surprises and twist revelations, as the producers pulled out all the big guns to effectively maintain the show’s momentum as a global sensation at every turn, bringing back galaxy far, far away favorites like Ahsoka Tano and Boba Fett to play a part in the story of the bounty hunter Din Djarin and his ward Baby Yoda. Though it would seem that they saved the biggest surprise for last.

Exclusive: Lifetime has begun production on four new movies based on V.C. Andrews’ Casteel Family book series, all for premiere on the cable network this year. They are among 75 films planned on the network for 2019 as part of an ambitious slate.
Last summer, under new A+E Networks CEO Paul Buccieri, Lifetime made a change in its programming strategy, putting emphasis back on original movies and using them as backdoor pilots over traditional series development.
Lifetime announced last year it was developing five films based on Andrews’ last known book series, about the twisted relationships of the Casteel Family. The first, Heaven, was filmed last year, and you can watch the first-look trailer above. The remaining four are Dark Angel, Fallen Hearts, Gates of Paradise and Web of Dreams. "I refuse to accept the end of man." 20th Century Fox has revealed one final trailer for the new War for the Planet of the Apes movie, directed again by Matt Reeves, continuing (and likely ending) this latest trilogy of Apes movies. The last trailer for this is one of my favorite trailers this year so far, and this movie is most #1 most anticipated of the year (followed by Blade Runner 2049, The Last Jedi, and Dunkirk). Andy Serkis returns to play Caesar, and the cast includes Woody Harrelson as his adversary, the Colonel. Also starring Judy Greer as Cornelia, Max Lloyd-Jones as Blue Eyes, plus Steve Zahn, Chad Rook, Ty Olsson, Aleks Paunovic and Sara Canning. I'm completely sold on this movie already, so I don't need to see any more. But this is an superb trailer that plays up the epic feeling of this man vs ape war.

"Apes. Together. The Fight For Survival Begins In Amazing First Trailer And Poster For War For The Planet Of The Apes
Earlier today, the first official images from War for the Planet of the Apes found their way online, and now a trailer has joined them! As you can see below, the battle between the apes and humanity has escalated a fair bit since the events of Dawn, and Caesar is now capable of delivering a pretty rousing speech as he continues to evolve into the iconic villain we all know from the original Apes movies. With Matt Reeves back at the helm, it's fair to say that War for the Planet of the Apes is in safe hands, and it looks excellent. It doesn't really reveal much about the plot though, so here's hoping 20th Century Fox release more details about what we should expect over the next few weeks and months. Starring Andy Serkis, Steve Zahn, Judy Greer, Karin Konoval, Terry Notary, Max Lloyd-Jones, Aleks Paunovic, Sara Canning, Gabriel Chavarria,...
