The award-winning script for Still has successfully completed its crowdfunding campaign on Seed & Spark with a final amount raised of $18,682.
Production for Still is scheduled to begin end of May 2023. The film stars Rakefet Abergel as Aliya, a woman struggling with the realities of a tragic pregnancy loss.
“I suffered a miscarriage about a year and a half ago and it was heartbreaking. Still is about how hard it is to survive losing a child – a child you held or one you never met. It’s about how well-meaning words can feel empty, meaningless, and hurtful to someone suffering a loss,” said Abergel, who also wrote, and will produce and direct the film. “If you’ve lost a baby, I hope this film brings you healing and inspires understanding in others.”
