He was inducted in the Cardinal McCarrick/St. Mary's High School Athletic Hall of Fame on October 28, 2000 in South Amboy, New Jersey.

He earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Elon College in Elon, North Carolina.
He attended Holy Cross College and Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
He graduated from St. Mary's High School in South Amboy, New Jersey in 1948.
