Vanessa Mason was born in northern Ontario, Canada and developed an
interest in writing from an early point in her life. As she grew older,
Vanessa developed a strong interest in film and scriptwriting.
Eventually moving to southern Ontario, she began studying creative
writing. She eventually decided to change her focus to film production.
Her other interests include photography and modeling.
Vanessa broke in to the film industry by co-writing the Savage Dog Films horror flick _Rip Cage (2005)_. Following this work, she made her directorial debut with the psychological horror short "Mania", which she also wrote.
She is visually driven, unconventional and addicted to her computer.
