Jamie McPherson is a documentary cameraman specialising in Natural History. Over the past 16 years he has worked on many landmark series and films for the BBC Natural History Unit, BBC Earth, BBC America, Disneynature, National Geographic, Discovery and Netflix. He is a 3 time BAFTA nominee, 1 time winner and 3 time EMMY award winner for cinematography. He specialises in tracking vehicle work - using gimbals mounted to various vehicles to film animal behaviour and create sequences and films with movement and style.
He is best known for his groundbreaking work on the BBC series The Hunt - a landmark series for BBC1 by Silverback Films. The series looked at predator prey relationships and the strategies they use to survive in different habitats.
He is currently a principle cameraman on Our Planet a new 8 part series by Silverback films in conjunction with WWF (Netflix, 2019). He is also working on Dolphin World and Penguins for Disneynature.
