Warren Fischer has been a director, producer and composer for over 15 years and is the founder of award winning film production company BUNKER in New York.
Fischer worked as Producer on the new limited documentary series on HBOMAX entitled Nuclear Family, which traces the complex lives of Director Ry Russo-Young's actual family as a first generation lesbian family. It is a deeply intimate story that illuminates the larger journey of the gay family itself, from outlaw counter-culture to mainstream acceptance.
Fischer has also worked as a Producer on the last three films by Ry Russo-Young, The Sun is Also a Star, Nobody Walks, and Before I Fall, garnering a Jury Prize at Sundance and a wide theatrical release respectively. Fischer was also a producer on Susan Johnson's genre redefining hit To All the Boys I've Loved Before for Netflix as well as the Claire Carre feature Embers, which garnered dozens of festival awards and earned best science-fiction feature of the year on Indiewire as well as Aaron Fisher-Cohen's feature Active Adults.
As a director, Fischer has directed a short film The Serena Variations and countless global commercials from brands ranging from Samsung, Jeep, Volvo, to Ford, and has established himself as a director in demand for over a decade. As founder of BUNKER, the company represents 20+ directors from all over the world.
Fischer started his professional career as a violinist and composer. Co-founder of music-based art project Fischerspooner, he has mounted over 100 shows and installations in a wide variety of galleries and museums to include the Museum of Modern Art in New York, The Mumok in Vienna, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles in and the Pompidou center in Paris.
Fischer grew up in Los Angeles, studied film at UW- Madison and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and now lives in New York.
