Lifetime has picked up The Client List, a new hourlong series based on the network's 2010 movie starring and executive produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt. Hewitt is set to reprise her role and executive produce the series, which has received a 10-episode order for a 2012 launch. Additionally, Lifetime has signed a first-look development deal for both series and movies with Hewitt’s production company Fedora Films. The deal includes a directing gig for Hewitt on a future Lifetime movie. The Client List is about a Texas housewife (Hewitt) who, after being deserted by her husband, takes a job at a seemingly traditional day spa in a neighboring town but realizes that the parlor offers way more than massages and ends up partnering with the parlor’s feisty and disorganized owner to run the business. The series will follow her as she balances two starkly different lives -- one as a single...

Personally I'm a huge fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt. With her long-running Ghost Whisperer series now wrapped up she's exploring other avenues including making her directorial debut with the feature film ghost story Wait Till Helen Comes. The flick is based on the novel by Mary Downing Hahn, was adapted by Victoria Sanchez Mandryk and centers on a 12-year-old girl who's the eldest of three children in a blended family that moves from Baltimore into a house converted from a church in the Maryland countryside. The tormented ghost of a little girl comes to haunt the 12-year-old but forms an intimate though dangerous friendship with her seven-year-old stepsister.
Shooting begins this Summer through Hewitt's Fedora Films and Just Believe Productions. The ghostly flick will also be produced by A.J. Rinella. with Victoria Sanchez Mandryk co-producing and Manuel Freedman serving as executive producer. So who’s all excited about this? Hewitt...

Jennifer Love Hewitt is developing several new TV projects after CBS supernatural drama "Ghost Whisperer" ended earlier this year. The 31-year-old actress is currently working on comedies for both ABC and Fox.
According to Variety, Hewitt and production partner A.J. Rinella, through her Fedora Films shingle, will release "Bad Taste in Men," a single-camera, half-hour comedy that centers on a Chicago woman who is unable to find the right guy for her.
This comedy from scribe Austin Weinberg will be debuting on ABC.
Another untitled comedy project is also set up at Fox. The single-camera romantic comedy will be told from a point of view of a career-driven woman.

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Ghost Whisperer may have gotten the axe earlier this year, but the actress isn’t running out of work any time soon. You might recall Hewitt starring as a prostitute in Lifetime’s The Client List over the summer, and now she’s busy behind the camera working on several TV projects, including a series adaptation of her Lifetime made-for-tv movie. Hewitt is also developing an untitled romantic comedy for Fox and a half-hour comedy title Bad Taste in Men for ABC through Fedora Films with her production partner, A.J. Rinella.
