Adam Devine is heading to Quibi with a lot of Bad Ideas. The Righteous Gemstones star is set to headline Bad Ideas with Adam Devine, a wacky celebrity reality series for the short-form video platform, from Mak Pictures.
A few examples. Devine mending an underwater fence in piranha infested waters? Not a good idea. Devine acting as human chum to attract the piranhas while someone else mends the fence? Now that’s a Really Bad Idea.
Bad Ideas with Adam Devine (Wt) is Devine’s twisted take on an adventure series. In each episode, he and a famous actor or comedian will travel to a new location in search of adventures that are already inherently dangerous – only they’ll add their own extra special sauce to ensure they are truly terrible choices.
Entering a chili pepper eating contest with the most scorching peppers on earth… when you don’t like spicy food?...

Facebook Watch will soon be home to a new unscripted series from Condé Nast Entertainment.
“Risky Biz,” produced by Condé Nast Entertainment and Mak Pictures, is set to premiere on the video platform on Oct. 21. The eight-episode series, which was inspired by an article in The New Yorker, follows Odds On Promotions owner Mark Gilmartin and contest engineers Will Pemble and Joel Ifill as they conceptualize and weigh the odds of someone winning a contest created by their team.
The Odds On Promotions team designs out-of-the-box competitions such as punching ones way out of a paper bag using novelty boxing gloves, climbing up a slippery set of stairs angled at 60-degrees that’s covered in slime in order to open a treasure chest, and picking a $50,000 cash prize hidden in a stuffed toy where the contestant is the human claw suspended 100-feet in the air. The competitions are typically used at sports events’ halftime contests,...

And we thought the Mega Millions could make you rich. On Season 4 of Discovery Channel’s “Treasure Quest,” the gang is going after the ancient fortune of the Jesuits, which is reputedly worth $2 billion.
The Bolivian quest is quite dangerous, and many have died seeking the Sacambaya Treasure. In the fourth season’s first episode, the team of fortune finders must drive up Yungas Road, which is known as “Death Road” due to its narrow and steep drop-off.
As you can see in the above sneak peek video, which is exclusive to TheWrap, the winding roadway’s name fits.

Imagine if American Pickers and Duck Dynasty had a love child. You’d have Dukes Of Haggle – the latest iteration of the still-going-strong “found money” reality TV genre. Discovery Channel has ordered 12 episodes of Dukes Of Haggle, to debut tomorrow night. It’s about four rival teams of barterers working in the “barter economy that exists along the backroads of the American South,” the network explained. These teams scour the south to barter-up at barns, swap meets and other, less likely places. Apparently the bartering business is becoming more competitive there. Once they’ve collected their Prohibition-era kegerators, Civil War swords, Colonel Sanders windvanes and giant faux corn ears, they take them to auction Friday night at Neal’s Auction House which is apparently a community ritual second only to Sunday church going. Dukes Of Haggle is produced by Mak Pictures for Discovery Channel. Mark Kadin, Will Ehbrecht, Ed Cunningham,...
