- Art Department
- Set Decorator
- Production Designer
After completing my studies in Cinema and Television at the Roberto Rossellini Institute as well as obtaining a degree in Scenography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, I spent my earlier professional years assisting in production design some of the best known Italian TV production designers of the '90s such as Nico Calia, Gaetano Castelli, Luciano Del Greco: I have been working for about a decade in many of the major RAI television network projects of that period.
In 2002 I took on my first engagements as a television production designer. Up to 2008 I was credited for numerous TV programs produced by RAISAT and broadcast on Cinema, Extra and Premium channels, working with directors such as Mimma Nocelli, Piccio Raffanini, Luca Nannini, Roberto Senzani. During these years I also could design the opening and closing nights at the International Venice Film Festival for several editions.
In parallel with above I continued gaining experience as an assistant in commercials, in film production and, mainly, in period TV movies and TV series: I have collaborated with some of the most popular production designers greatly appreciated at international level, such as Maurizio Sabatini, Luigi Marchione, the Academy Award winners Bruno Cesari and Gianni Quaranta, Maestro Franco Zeffirelli.
In the past few years, in addition to the role of an art director in important productions, I have taken on engagements both as a set decorator and a production designer for many cinema and TV fiction projects. Some film directors: Carlo Lizzani, Roberto Faenza, Sergio Rubini about cinema; Lodovico Gasparini, Maurizio Zaccaro, Fabrizio Costa about TV movies.
