Loki: Hot Toys Unveils "God Loki" Figure, Offering Detailed Look At New Costume From Season 2 Finale
In the closing moments of Loki's season 2 finale, the God of Mischief destroyed the Temporal Loom and created a new, endless Multiverse which he sits at the centre of.
We're sure "God Loki" will eventually return, particularly with Kang gearing up to embark on a Multiversal War and Incursions destroying many of these new realities. While powering up to replace the Loom, Loki's costume underwent a startling transformation, and our best look yet at that comes in the form of a new 1/6th scale Hot Toys action figure.
Two versions will be available; a limited edition with rooted hair, and another with a traditional head sculpt.
"Exquisitely crafted based on the screen appearance of Tom Hiddleston as God Loki in the finale, the figure features a newly developed head sculpt with separate rolling eyeballs," reads the official product description. "The fabric costume has been finely tailored to match Loki's on-screen appearance,...

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was a strange time for the franchise. The post-"Avengers: Endgame" era saw Kevin Feige and co. trying to shepherd the concept of the multiverse into our collective consciousness while simultaneously introducing a host of new heroes and somewhat reinventing the MCU for a new generation. Much of it worked well, with "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" holding things down on the cinematic front. Meanwhile, "WandaVision" and "Hawkeye" made a good case for the McU's streaming age being a good development — a case that was later ruined by the poorly-reviewed "Secret Invasion."
But for every good entry in Phase 4, there was a "Thor: Love and Thunder" or a "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" to undermine them. Thankfully, Phase 4 will always remain beloved for introducing us to one of the best arguments for the MCU expanding into the world of streaming television: "Loki.

It has been a lucky 13 years since Tom Hiddleston first played Loki, the God of Mischief in the film “Thor.” He returned to the role recently for season two of the TV series “Loki.” This Disney+ show provided a beautiful end (we’ll see) to the character’s epic arc.
The sophomore outing of the series seee Loki trying to save the universe with the help of Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), Mobius (Owen Wilson), and Ouroboros (Ke Huy Quan). Kang (Jonathan Majors) is once again at the center of the trouble. The series is fantastical and is held together by the superb performance of Hiddleston. Once again, this classically trained actor brings Shakespearean authority to the role. He is also able to infuse increasing vulnerability to the former villain, making Loki one of the best characters in MCU history. Critics agree, “Loki” is the Tom Hiddleston show.

At the end of “Loki” Season 1, executive producer Kevin R. Wright asked Sophia Di Martino where she saw her character, Sylvie, going after this. After all, Sylvie had just completed her lifelong goal of killing He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) and freeing the multiverse. The actress casually remarked that Sylvie might go grab a burger. “I definitely learned my lesson: Be careful what you say to producers,” Di Martino tells Gold Derby (watch the exclusive video interview above). “Even if you’re half-joking, they might end up writing it into the second [season].”
And that they did. The mid-credits scene in the Season 2 premiere reveals Sylvie’s location: She’s in a branched timeline in 1982 Oklahoma working at a McDonald’s. While Sylvie can literally definitely grab a burger and more there, the iconic fast food chain is also symbolic of what she’s now seeking: normalcy and sowing the seeds for a new life.

Loki season 2 ended with a somber but noble end for the God of Mischief. As the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer has shown, we have not seen the last of the Tva in the Marvel universe. While that does not necessarily imply a specific return of Loki himself, we may still get more from other characters from the Disney+ series. Recently, it was addressed that Marvel Studios is doing a lot of retooling to reach glory status again. However, their focus seems to have moved from newly established characters like Shang-Chi, but that film’s star, Simu Liu, assures fans that he will make a return.
Another character that’s currently up in the air is Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie from both seasons of Loki. Di Martino recently told ScreenRant what she hopes will be next for her character after season 2, “I think, at this point, if anything comes back...

Captain America: Civil War is considered to be one of the best films the Marvel Cinematic Universe has had to offer. Keeping the storyline aside, such intense love for the film came because fans got to see their favorite Marvel superheroes together on the screen. The airport fight scene is still one of the fandom’s favorites! However, Chris Hemsworth was clearly missing from the party.

When Chris Hemsworth realized Captain America: Civil War was a thing and that many of his “friends from work” were going to be in it, he was quite worried about his future in the MCU. He came to the conclusion that Thor was being kicked out of the superhero universe and decided to confront the higher-ups about the fiasco.

“Loki” could conjure up a Best Drama Series nomination this year and give Disney and Marvel representation at this year’s Emmys. The second season of “Loki” continues the journey of Tom Hiddleston‘s titular former villain as he attempts to save the multiverse. Loki traverses the multiverse with the help of Owen Wilson‘s Mobius, Ke Huy Quan‘s Ouroboros, Sophia Di Martino‘s Sylvie, and Wunmi Mosaku‘s Hunter B-15. They are hoping to repair the damage caused to the multiverse during the events of the first season, with Kang (Jonathan Majors) again at the center of the trouble.
Season one was greeted with rapturous applause and this sophomore outing has been met with the same response.
Bob Strauss (The Wrap) observed: “Characters with compelling issues, high existential drama, quirky comedy and world-threatening action are blended better than in any other Disney+ show to date.”

The second season of Loki successfully delivered an emotionally satisfying conclusion to the series and elevated Tom Hiddleston’s Loki to a selfless heroic character. The addition of Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie contributed to the show’s exploration of Loki and his unexplored traits. The second season ended with Loki becoming the overseer of the various timelines at the end of time.

Sylvie’s character has been a bit less pleasant than Loki’s. She was captured as a child by the Tva and eventually grew into a certain kind of Temporal Terrorist by the time she met Loki. Despite that, it was clear that Sylvie had the best of intentions.
Her character played a massive role in Loki’s own character development, and in a way, she, inspired him to take on the path that he did. Seemingly freeing everyone from He Who Remains’ oppressive grasp.
Needless to say, some fans consider that ‘Loki’ has plenty of themes to work with, and one of the potential characters that the possible season 3 could cover would be Sylvie. It would be fascinating to see her living her life, finally free, now with a new purpose, perhaps with some taste of mischief, she is Loki after all.

Sophia Di Martino dresses perfectly for spring while attending a PaleyFest LA panel discussion and screening of Loki held at Dolby Theatre on Saturday (April 13) in Hollywood.
The 40-year-old MCU star joined her co-star Tom Hiddleston on the red carpet at the event.
Earlier that day, they also attended an FYC Emmy screening and Q&a with Owen Wilson, where she revealed another Marvel character that she would like her character Sylvie to share the screen with.

“I think it would be great to see Sylvie and Thor,” she told Variety‘s Marc Malkin. “I think it would be fun to see them get wound up, especially if Loki is in the equation. Three siblings together? The dynamic would be interesting.”
She also shared her thoughts on the possibility of a third season of Loki.
“I have no idea, honestly,” Sylvie said about the chances.

Ask the stars of Disney+’s “Loki” if there’s going to be a third season and all will insist they don’t know.

That doesn’t mean Martino wants her time with Marvel to come to an end. “I’m open to more,” she said. “But honestly I think the [Season 2] finale was great and if that’s it, I’m very grateful for what we’ve had. But they don’t say anything. The veil of secrecy extends to us, too.”

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to churn out box office hits, it’s hard to believe that Hiddleston’s star-making turn as the celestial trickster brother to the hammer-wielding god Thor started well over a decade ago.

It’s been over a month since the conclusion of the second season of ‘Loki,’ leaving fans still processing the impactful ending of Loki’s narrative. Loki chose self-sacrifice to spare his friends, innocent people, and the Multiverse’s timelines, giving rise to Yggdrasil as the new guardian, ensuring the Multiverse’s stability.
Sylvie’s journey has been less conventional than Loki’s, having been captured by the Tva as a child and evolving into a unique Temporal Terrorist by the time she encounters Loki. Despite her unconventional path, Sylvie’s good intentions are evident, a sentiment shared by actress Sophia Dimartino in a recent interview with 1883. Dimartino expressed her fondness for Sylvie and offered insights into what her character’s future appearance in the MCU might entail.

It’s been over a month since the finale of the second season of ‘Loki,’ and fans are still recovering from the conclusion of Loki’s story. Loki sacrificed himself so he doesn’t have to sacrifice his friends and the innocent people (and timelines) in the Multiverse and seemingly gave rise to Yggdrasil, via which he currently keeps the Multiverse from falling apart instead of Temporal Loom.
Sylvie’s character has been a bit less pleasant than Loki’s. She was captured as a child by the Tva and eventually grew into a certain kind of Temporal Terrorist by the time she met Loki. Despite that, it was clear that Sylvie had the best of intentions, and it’s a sentiment that Sophia Dimartino shares with her character, as she revealed in the interview with 1883, and she is quite fond of the character. Sylvie actress Sophia Dimartino from the Loki Disney+ series officially commented on the future of her character in the MCU.
At the end of Loki Season 2, Loki (Tom Hiddleston) tells Sylvie and Mobius (Owen Wilson), "I know what I want. I know what kind of god I need to be. For you. For all of us."
This led to Loki making the ultimate sacrifice of holding the Multiverse together and abandoning his friends. Given some free will, Sylvie told Mobius she had no idea where she would go, opening up her next chapter in the MCU to anything.

In a recent interview, Loki actor Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie) spoke about how her character feels following Loki's character-defining decision at the end of Season 2.
Loki's Season 2 finale was the culmination of over a decade of character development throughout the MCU and saw Tom Hiddleston's character take on an Atlas-like role, holding together the branches of the multiverse.
For the branches to stay intact, Loki must remain, holding them together, potentially for the rest of time — a sacrifice the newly titled God of Stories was prepared to make, especially given that it will ensure his loved ones' universes and homes are safe.

The 2024 Critics Choice TV Awards nominations were revealed on Tuesday, December 5 with Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show” leading the pack with six mentions, including its first for Best Drama Series. Following closely behind with five bids is HBO’s “Succession,” which is now eligible for a third and final victory in the top drama category after winning in 2020 and 2022.
