“For the longest time, we were just fighting to survive,” declares Judith Grimes (Cailey Fleming) in a voiceover that kicks off tonight’s “Family,” the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead.
“Trying to get back what we lost,” the daughter of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) continues over a montage of zombie killings from the AMC’s series 11 seasons, and some throwback music from pivotal episodes. “My family, we would do anything to protect each other. And we’re fighting now for something else, something bigger. A new beginning.”

The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 20
One of the hallmarks of The Walking Dead has been a pretty strong ethos of community survival. No man is an island, and one of the things real-life disaster preppers mention is that forming a community of people with different skills and similar values is an invaluable part of continuing on past the fall of mankind. The cold open of this week’s episode makes that abundantly clear; from scenes of Carol getting rescued by Daryl in the early days to Carol leading a one-woman assault on Terminus in “No Sanctuary”, having friends has always been the key to surviving the stickiest of situations. Now, those friends who are willing to put their lives on the line for people like Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) and Carol (Melissa McBride) need someone to do the same for them, but it’s...

The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 14
After The Walking Dead spent so much time building up The Commonwealth as a place where dreams can come true, it was only a matter of time for the truth behind the veneer to start showing. Nothing gold can stay, after all; when your community is built and maintained by fiction, eventually the fiction will start to fall apart. For The Commonwealth, that fiction has always been security. Armed guards in armor, high walls, and no walkers might be a pretty sweet deal, but that calm oasis of peace comes at a price, and the people of The Commonwealth have no idea what that price might be. If what we’ve seen from The Commonwealth’s soldiers in non-traditional missions is any indication, that hard-won peace might be both expensive and brittle.

The Walking Dead taketh and The Walking Dead giveth.
Just two days before the end of the first part of the 11th and supersized final season of AMC’s zombie apocalypse series airs, the show based on Robert Kirkman’s comics has revealed when it will be back. The second section of eight episodes of the Angela Kang showrun Twd will premiere on February 20, 2022.
No debut date has been given yet for the final eight episodes of the third section of the final season, but they are expected in the second half of next year.
“Thinking about choices, do they even matter anymore?” asks Norman Reedus’ Daryl Dixon in a teaser that AMC put out today along with the return date announcement. The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 19
Walking from point to point on the map, looking for desperately needed food and supplies, all Aaron (Ross Marquand) and Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) have done is kill zombies and wear the leather off their shoes. At this point, The Walking Dead is also the walking living, as the two are without car, bicycle, cart, or horse. Every spot on the map marked by Maggie has been a dud, from the freshly burned-down house to the boarded-up mini-mart. Frustration is beginning to set in for Aaron, who is ready to head back home with empty hands. Two weeks of wandering around killing walkers and burning precious calories is a long time to be away from a city trying to rebuild after a war, but Gabriel insists upon one more.

Hannibal, “Mizumono”
Written by Steve Lightfoot and Bryan Fuller
Directed by David Slade
Aired May 23rd, 2014
“I let you know me… see me. I gave you a rare gift, but you didn’t want it.” – Hannibal Lecter
If there’s such thing as arthouse television, Hannibal‘s second season is it, a thirteen-hour fever dream of blood, orchestral music, and psychological mind games. Above all, it was a cinematic tragedy, a symbolically-rich tale of a man courting the devil and (most likely) living to tell about it, set against the backdrop of television’s most arresting visual palette.
“Mizumono” is the sweet, sweet cherry on the top of Hannibal‘s breathtaking sophomore effort, a dramatic crescendo catalyzed by one small mistake made on Will’s part: leaving the scent of Freddie Lounds on himself before visiting Hannibal.
