- Kris Roe is the lead singer and guitarist of California punk band The Ataris. He started the band in 1995 when he gave a demo CD to The Vandals band member Warren Fitzgerald who liked it so much he insisted they get their band up and running. Signing up with Joe Escalante (also of the vandals) owner of Kung Fu records, Kris and the band began their professional music life and recorded the albums 'Anywhere but here', 'Let it burn', 'End is forever' & 'Blue Skies-Broken Hearts... Next 12 exits'. Over the years since forming, the band has changed members leaving Kris as the only original member. In 2003 the band signed up with Columbia records and recorded 'So Long Astoria'. Kris lives in Santa Barbara, California with wife Denice and daughter Starla who are the inspiration for many of his songs.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Chris Ambrose
