Kira Yaghnam
- Actress
Kira Yaghnam is a Palestinian-Jordanian 'quadruple threat' (actor, dancer, singer & pianist).
Kira's acting debut was playing the role of the troubled & rebellious Hiba in the widely popular Netflix series Al Rawabi School for Girls, Season 2 (2024).
She discovered her love for performing arts when she started dancing ballet at the tender age of 3, with the National Center of Culture and Arts in Jordan, performing in many ballets and modern dance productions with them. She was a member of her school's Drama club and Choir, playing lead roles in plays and musicals.
Kira gravitated to acting because it is where she felt strong in her vulnerability, and where she could most connect with people, whether it be other cast members, crew, or audience. Somehow, the walls break down whenever she is on stage or in front of the camera.
Kira is constantly polishing her craft, through acting workshops, master classes, learning from the greats, and - most importantly - observing other people as they go about their daily lives, since she believes those are the most raw and interesting moments to draw inspiration from for her acting. She is comfortable in acting in both English and Arabic, fluently and in multiple accents.
She is studying Psychology in the United Kingdom because she believes that understanding human nature and learning about how the human mind works and the vast spectrum of human emotions is an integral part of being a good actor, which is where her ultimate passion and aspirations lie.
Kira aspires to a career in acting professionally on a regional and international level, within and beyond her ethnicity. She is proud of her heritage and hopes to contribute to giving raising the profile of Arab artists worldwide.
