Fresh off of its run at Tribeca, Antonio Tublén And Alexander Brøndsted’s gently absurd comedy Original is gearing up for public release throughout the Nordic region and the Swedish trailer for the film has just arrived. One thing is definitely certain about this film: these guys know how to shoot and edit. And also Tuva Novotny is not hard to look at. That’s three things, I suppose.
Henry tries hard to blend in. Most of his life, he has been acting the human chameleon, which has turned him into a pale reflection of other people’s expectations. One day, after having brutally failed and crashed straight into reality, Henry’s best friend Jon talks him into opening a restaurant with him in Spain. Goodbye rain and depression, hello tapas and sangria! Before leaving, though, Henry needs to fix a few things: kidnap his mother from a mental institution,...

I know it looks dire as it's 28% lighter (at least so far) and minus an artistic director, but no fear, there's still more to come, and with what's been announced theirs some interesting sounding stuff, especially a film we wrote about briefly called Accidents Happen. Also premiering is the comedy Stay Cool and the Danish film Original, along with the North American premier of The Exploding Girl which we also wrote about.

I could of sworn I already posted news on this Danish weirdness, but it turns out I was only monitoring the website.. anyways Twitch beat us to it. What really caught my eye on this one is the synopsis, and while the two teasers don't show very much, they do show an emasculating "We Can Do It!" throwback with plenty of ink. I do love tattoos on women.
