Andrew Michael Farren
- Animation Department
Andrew M. Farren is an up-and-coming American VFX artist and Digital Compositor. Andrew was born and raised in Hershey Pennsylvania to Pamela L. Fullerton, a loving mother and devoted wife, and Michael A. Farren, who was a Pastor for many years as well as a mechanic and member of the armed forces. Andrew and his family moved many times while growing up, several of those most memorable to him are Gatlinburg Tennessee, and a multitude of places within Colorado.
Andrew's passion for video games began when he received his very first gaming console, a Nintendo 64, for his sixth birthday. This seemingly simple gift sparked a fire inside him to begin learning as much as he could about art, video games, television, and film. Even at an early age, Andrew excelled exceptionally well in school, particularly when it came to his Art classes. He took a keen interest in projects like creating sketches, inked pictures on both canvas and paper, and oil paintings. His artwork began to draw attention from teachers and students throughout the school and he was encouraged by his teachers to continue because they saw he had a natural talent.
After high school Andrew was hired at a local news station where he was exposed to many different types of television equipment and software programs, further motivating him to pursue his dream of having a career in cinematography. At the age of 17, Andrew and his parents decided to move closer to family in North Carolina. In 2016, several years after they moved, Andrew decided he wanted to make a positive difference in his community. He enrolled in the local Community College where he obtained a certificate in the Basic Law Enforcement Training Program and, upon completion, he became a Deputy Sheriff. Also in this same year, Andrew met his now wife, Lauren F. Farren.
Now being in his 7th year of service with the Sheriff's Office, Andrew has taken the necessary steps to pursue his true passion of becoming a full-time animator. Now graduated, as of 2023 from Full Sail University, Andrew is working freelance, contract, and full-time positions.
