Today, Sega and Obsidian Entertainment released a new trailer for their upcoming spy RPG, Alpha Protocol. In the video entitled “Developing Your Skills,” you’ll see some of the different skill-sets that super agent, Michael Thornton, has at his disposal. Stealth, martial arts, sharpshooting with an assault rifle, and rapid pistol shots are shown in detail:
While I’m still not a huge fan of the graphics or art style presented in these preview videos, I am very intrigued by the gameplay. The title resembles Bioware’s Mass Effect series, but in a modern-day setting, and that’s something that should excite gamers. The RPG elements appear to have outstanding potential, and if the game’s narrative is strong, Alpha Protocol could be a sleeper hit.
Are you looking forward to Alpha Protocol? And do you think it will stand out among May and June’s crowded release schedule?
