- Katalina was born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She is known for Bedazzled (2000) and Simply Irresistible (1999).
- She was working part time at a recording studio when a vocalist failed to show up for a session. The producer asked her to sit in and do a scratch vocal. After only 10 minutes it was obvious that DJ Girl was a smash and Katalina had a career.
- Sang with the band The Bouncing Souls on the song "Wish Me Well" and also ended up putting out a couple of records under the name "Katalina".
- Born in Chicago and raised in Orange County, California.
- Discovered at the age 13 when she would drop by Jon St. James recording studio to hang out with her friends in a punk band called the Vandals.
