Mr. Alper joined Grosvenor Park in 2008 from Relativity Media, LLC
where he supervised and managed that company's single picture equity
financing and production business. Under his supervision, Relativity
financed and produced 3:10 to Yuma (James Mangold directing Russell
Crowe and Christian Bale), The Bank Job (Roger Donaldson directing
Jason Statham), The Forbidden Kingdom (Rob Minkoff directing Jet Li and
Jackie Chan) and Brothers (Jim Sheridan directing Tobey Maguire, Jake
Gyllenhaal and Natalie Portman). Prior to Relativity, Mr. Alper served
for five years as CEO and co-managing partner (along with co-managing
partners Steve Tisch, Todd Black and Jason Blumenthal) at Escape
Artists, LLC, an independently financed film production company. Escape
Artist's most notable film was The Pursuit of Happyness (Gabriele
Muccino directing Will Smith). Prior to Escape Artists, Mr. Alper held
a number of posts at various studios throughout the film industry
including New Line Cinema where he served as co-head of business
affairs, Lorimar Motion Pictures where he served as the senior
executive managing all business, administrative and acquisitions
activities, Universal Pictures where he served as the senior executive
managing all business and administrative activities and Twentieth
Century Fox where he served as production counsel. Mr. Alper holds a
B.A. and J.D. from UCLA and began his professional career with the law
firm of Ervin, Cohen & Jessup where he specialized in litigation and
entertainment for four years beginning in 1977. At his various
positions throughout the industry, Mr. Alper has played a key role in
the development, financing and production of over seventy major motion
pictures.
