Netflix has released the first clip from Stranger Things 3 along with a series of character posters that have been released. The clip is called “Summer in Hawkins” and it’s set at the Hawkins public pool where Billy Hargrove (Dacre Montgomery) has a job as a lifeguard. When he arrives for his shift several moms are waiting for him. As you’ll see, Billy wields a lot of power at the pool.
I also included several character posters that feature Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Cara Buono as Karen Wheeler, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Dacre Montgomery as Billy, Sadie Sink as Max, and Maya Thurman-Hawke as Robin. The first two seasons of Netflix’s hit streaming series Strangers Things took place in the bitter autumn of Hawkins, Indiana. As such, we’ve already seen Mike, Nancy and all of their friends tackle costume parties, trick-or-treating and their school’s annual Snow Ball dance, so it only seems appropriate that the third season would heat things up by following our heroes into the summer of ‘85
For a show depicting otherworldly monsters, mutated teenagers and secret government agencies, Strangers Things is wickedly funny, and the first full clip from the new season leans hard into the laughs. Set to the time-appropriate “Moving in Stereo” by The Cars (which features rockin’ riffs and creepy synths in equal measures), the scene finds Dacre Montgomery’s antagonistic Billy Hargrove on a power trip as the community pool’s lifeguard, much to the delight of many local moms. The irritating machismo radiating off...

All of us Stranger Things fans have been waiting for more episodes of our favorite show since the first season came out on July 15, 2016. This was the day we traveled back to November 6, 1983, and discovered that Will Byers had gone missing. That week we met Eleven and found out that the small town of Hawkins had a dubious underbelly.
We watched that season play out and got answers to questions, as well as new questions thrown our way. Then on October 27, 2017, we got to see our favorite kids and teens celebrating Halloween in the most ‘80s way possible and dig back into the craziness that is their town and life.
And now we know that season three is going to be released on July 4, 2019, and will take place in the summertime. It’s a bit of a longer stretch between seasons this time, but from the little we’ve heard,...

We’ve still got a while to go until Stranger Things‘ long-awaited third season hits Netflix. Due to the busy schedules of the talented, in-demand cast, season 3 didn’t make it out last year and is instead due to drop this summer, rather than the series’ traditional Halloween release slot. It sounds like it’ll be worth the wait, though, as one star of the smash hit supernatural drama is promising that it’s “bigger, darker [and] scarier.”
Natalia Dyer, who plays Nancy Wheeler on the show, spoke to Josh Horowitz of MTV News recently and teased what she could about the top secret third run. “It’s set in the summer, it’s in the ‘80s,” she began, repeating what’s already been revealed about the season. Specifically, that it takes place in July 1985.
Instead of talking about plot points, Dyer then spoke about the feel of the production on set,...
