Oppenheimer was a massive success and a new milestone for filmmaking, from the cast and crew and everyone else who contributed during the production was a recipe for Oscar nominations, and wins but one aspect of any film or television that elevates the story is music and composer Ludwig Göransson deserved the win but upset the gaming community in the process.
Göransson also composed the score for other great films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and even won an Oscar for Black Panther, he later worked on the sequel: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and scored the first two Creed films and his first project with the legendary visionary Christopher Nolan was Tenet, as well for the Star Wars series on Disney+ The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. The talent he possesses is monumental, however the gaming community was offended by his recent victory speech.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
Currently in development by Inti Creates and Koji Igarashi
Tba for Mac, PC, PS4, and Xbox One
When Castlevania godfather Koji Igarashi approached Konami with the idea of bringing the classic gameplay of franchise favorites like Symphony of the Night into the latest generation of PS4 and XboxOne, he was shot down curtly. Since then Igarashi has formed his own studio and launched a startlingly successful Kickstarter campaign which has made headlines and broken records all over the realm of gaming media. It’s no surprise really for a series with such an aged and dedicated fanbase, and for those of us who patently support the idea of an old school Castlevania-like that will take full advantage of the horse power afforded it by modern consoles, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is truly something to get excited for.
Having handily met its initial goal of $500,000 in no time,...

While Super Castlevania IV was a huge success, Konami didn’t just settle for Nintendo only releases. While Castlevania: Rondo Of Blood was only for Japan and released on the ill-fated TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine, Castlevania: Bloodlines is a bit more familiar to Western Castlevania fans. Not only because it was released worldwide, but also because it was released for the Sega Genesis.
For those too young to remember the bit wars, there was no greater rivalry than Nintendo and Sega; and nothing purveyed the war quite like the Genesis vs. the Snes. Sega had finally managed to snag a Castlevania title, but was it a gem or did it prove that Nintendo was the reigning king of Konami’s vampire platformer?
If there is something to add to the Snes vs. Genesis debate, Bloodlines proves that the Genesis‘ tech came nowhere close to beating the Snes. Art and music is...

“It’s been a long time, we shouldn’t of left you, without some new shit to sin too.” The most honest intro to an album to ever exist, after three long years The Mickey and Mallory of hip-hop, Sicktanick and Razakel have returned with a brand new Team Death album entitled appropriately “Not Like You”. Fourteen brand new tracks and two remixes, that flawlessly combine horrorcore with industrial, metal, and techno elements, this album is a true innovation of the genre.
I have been a long time fan of both Sicktanick and Razakel, coming across their music after being introduced to the genre from a friend. While I watched many friends go towards lighter hearted and mainstream horrorcore artists, I shrouded myself in the music of Serial Killin Records. When two forces as deadly as Sicktanick and Razakel come together, it can only lead to a wake of mutilated...

Organized by Tommy Tallarico, a video game lover and music composer in the industry, Video Games Live: Level 2 is a loving tribute concert to some of the greatest and most iconic music to come out of the business. Unfortunately, not all games are created equal when it comes to musical accompaniment. Now, depending on which video games you grew up on and spent countless hours completing in the privacy of a dark room with your eyes and ears fixed on the glowing screen in front of you, you’ll have different songs ingrained in your memory as being “classic”. Video Games Live: Level 2 makes a fun little jab at the idea pointing out that the earliest gamers have less a soundtrack than they do a signature set of beeps, boops, and bloops. You don’t begrudge early games their simplistic soundscapes, but similarly you can’t deny that...
