By her early thirties, Sandra Bullock was already weary from the whole, complicated looking-for-love process. She was seeing someone, "really sweet," she told Dennis Hensley in a 1996 interview for Detour, but getting to that point had been rough. "For a year I was by myself trying to date and I'm telling you dating was the worst experience I ever had," she confessed. "I seem to have attracted everyone whose intentions were not the best." It's not so much that they were after a slice of her growing fortune or her very much on-the-rise fame (though she said one suitor's ex-girlfriend sold a story claiming he was...

Several shows that are popular around these parts got renewed yesterday – Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, America’s Next Top Model, Gossip Girl and 90210 are coming back, which means between the last two, we should get 14 minutes of gay representation for their combined seasons.
In Minnesota, Republicans are taking steps to constitutionally ban marriage equality. But what caught my eye was down in the comments, “Democracy! Bah! Whenever I hear that, I reach for my feather boa!”

Is anyone besides me thrilled to see Kurt out of that dull blazer?
Glee has been filming in New York City this week, presumably for Nationals. Above you can see Chris Colfer looking his best dapper Kurt with Diana Agron in Times Square. Meanwhile, a possible musical spoiler was tweeted out by Brad Falchuk. Last night the winner was announced in RuPaul's Drag Race and you know what that means - exit interviews! Join John Polly's 1972 mustache as he talks to Alexis Mateo. And if you still haven't watched the finale, obviously this contains spoilers.

Dozens of filmmakers are screening their work at the Sundance Film Festival, and a lucky few will leave Utah with a distribution deal. Those who don't could take a page from filmmaker Dennis Hensley, who collected together his various short films and is marketing them as The Dennis Hensley Five-Pack, a project he says was inspired by the "insulting" offers made by DVD companies who wanted to include his work in compilations of gay shorts.

Dennis Hensley catches up with Del Shores on the set of his powerhouse new drama at the Coast Playhouse in West Hollywood. Del talks about the inspiration for his newest work, reveals an Ocd streak, and shares memories of his dear friend, the late, great Rue McClanahan.
Apologies in advance for the poor sound during the audience Q&A session. You may need to fast forward to the end where the audio is better and Dennis speaks one-on-one with Del Shores.

My good friend Dennis Hensley and my partner Michael Jensen (who acted as camera-man) went to the premiere of Spartacus: Blood and Sand last week, and managed to track down the stars and creator of the show to do these terrific interviews:
P.S. You'll have to forgive Dennis' getting Lucy's home-country wrong -- he's not the Xena geek I am (in fact, he hadn't even seen Spartacus yet when he did these interviews -- he and Michael crammed during dinner, and then he winged it!).

First up is Dave White. Dave's previous memoir was the hilarious Exile in Guyville. His new book is Love is a 4 Letter Word.
Next, Dennis speaks to Robert Rave, author of Spin. His novel is about a young male publicist trying to make it in New York. Perhaps not incidentally, Robert used to work as an assistant to Lizzie Grubman.
Our Alonso Duralde explains why his 101 Must See Movies for Gay Men makes for perfect bathroom reading.
Finally, Dennis talks to Derek Hartley (co-host of Sirius Satellite's The Derek & Romaine Show about his collection of essays, Derek's Collonade: A Life in Columns.

Dennis is at the Fairfax cinema with Dee Mosbacher and Fawn Yacker, producers and co-directors of a powerful new documentary called Training Rules. In addition to a touching introduction from Chaz Bono, and appearances by Lisa Kudrow and Christina Ricci, he's there to catch the independent film La Mission, starring Benjamin Bratt.
Dennis is hoping Bratt goes full frontal in this film, because that's a sure way to win over the Outfest crowd. Unfortunately, no full frontal but Dennis did like La Mission. He also raves about a documentary called After The Storm.
Also in this episode, Dennis' friends Doug and John share rumors that the Orpheum Theater is haunted by a crying ghost that forever haunts the box seats. A ghost or possibly Judith Light.
