Exclusive: NCIS: LA may be over but star Daniela Ruah is keeping a toe in the NCIS universe.
The actress who played Kensi Blye on the spinoff that wrapped its 14-season run last May is directing two episodes in the NCIS universe. She’s helming an episode of NCIS this month that’ll air in March, followed by an episode of NCIS: Hawai’i in February that’ll run in April.
“Kensi was born as a character on NCIS, 15 years ago, so now to be able to step onto that set again, as a director, with that incredible cast and crew, is an absolute honor,” she tells Deadline. “So many familiar faces and people I love and they’ve welcomed me with open arms. It’s like coming home.”
Ruah made her directorial debut on NCIS: Los Angeles during season 12.

NCIS: Los Angeles ended its 14-season run on CBS with a finale all about “New Beginnings” (hence the title), and while it was a mostly happy ending, everything wasn’t tied up neatly with a bow. For example, yes, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) has learned quite a bit about himself over the years and did marry Anna (Bar Paly). Yes, Callen and Sam (LL Cool J) went to Morocco to join Nell’s (Renée Felice Smith) team in a mission to rescue Hetty (Linda Hunt), and we can assume that will be successful (especially with LL Cool J recurring on Hawai’i in Season 3). We know that Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks’ (Eric Christian Olsen) family will soon be one of four, with her pregnant. But what about the storylines that weren’t wrapped up or the callbacks we didn’t get (like we did with Switch and Mr. Carl? “We...

NCIS: Los Angeles ended its 14-year run with a series finale, titled “New Beginnings,” that delivered happiness and left quite a bit up in the air about the future. For Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) and Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), whose journey to parenthood hasn’t been easy (remember back when the top of kids first came up?), she found out she’s pregnant just before Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna’s (Bar Paly) wedding. Here, Ruah opens up about Kensi’s ending and more. After how tough the journey to parenthood has been for Kensi and Deeks, it was so great to see them so happy this past year, with Rosa (Natalia Del Riego), now the pregnancy… When did you know this was going to be part of Kensi’s ending? Daniela Ruah: I had heard some rumors that that is what they were thinking about adding for Kensi at the end,...

This article contains spoilers for the “NCIS: Los Angeles” series finale.
“NCIS: Los Angeles” showrunner R. Scott Gemmill’s goal with the series finale on Sunday, May 21 was to give the characters of the long-running CBS procedural as happy an ending as possible.
“It really was about trying to find a way to wrap up the series that would leave the fans feeling hopeful for the future of all our characters. And so we gave everyone what we figured was their version of happily ever after… at least for the time being,” he told TheWrap in a recent interview.
To that end, in the final episode, Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Anna (Bar Paly) tie the knot in an impromptu ceremony attended by the rest of the team — except for Hetty (Linda Hunt), who sends a congratulatory note.

Chris O’Donnell is back as Callen on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 14. Pic credit: CBS
NCIS: Los Angeles returns soon with new episodes, and an important detail about a Season 14 substory has been revealed.
Last season on the show, Callen finally asked Anna to marry him, setting it up so that a wedding could come for the characters played by Chris O’Donnell and Bar Paly.
In regard to that NCIS: LA wedding, there are certainly a lot of guests that fans of the show would like to see appearing for an episode or two.
At the top of that guest list might be Nell Jones and Eric Beale, the two tech people who helped the team for many years. The couple drove off into the sunset at the end of Season 12.

NCIS: Los Angeles is no stranger to drawing storylines out over multiple seasons (remember the mole hunt?), but fortunately, we know of at least a couple that will be resolved sooner rather than later. Season 13 ended with a couple of happy moments — Callen (Chris O’Donnell) proposed to Anna (Bar Paly), and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) are fostering Rosa (Natalia Del Riego) — but did leave us with quite a few questions. Among them: What’s going on with Hetty’s (Linda Hunt) mission in Syria, and when will Kessler (Frank Military) stop being an ongoing threat to Kensi? We turned to executive producer R. Scott Gemmill for answers. Callen says he needs to speak with Hetty, so where did you want to leave him at the end of this season to lead into that conversation? Is anything you can tease about it? R. Scott Gemmill: That certainly has to play out.

First of all, soon after Kensi (Daniela Ruah) picks Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) up from the airport, they find out they’ve been approved to foster Rosa (Natalia Del Riego) — and she can come home with them that night! Everyone gathers at the beach for a barbecue to celebrate. And it’s there that Callen (Chris O’Donnell) finally proposes to Anna (Bar Paly). “In every aspect of my life, I didn’t know who I was until I met you,” he says. “You didn’t even know your first name,” she remembers. And while he’s worried that he can’t give her the normal life...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 11 “All the Little Things.”] Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) may still be Mia on NCIS: Los Angeles, but at least those back in the U.S. are finally learning a bit more about what their former operations manager is up to in Syria. There’s only one problem: Where is she? In “All the Little Things,” Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell) reaches out to Zasha (Oleysa Rulin) for information after a U.S. drone strike in Syria. While he may not have confirmation that Hetty was there, he has a “hunch,” he tells Anna (Bar Paly). The good news is Zasha doesn’t find her among the injured or dead. The bad news is Hetty was meeting with the target, Al-Qaeda leader Mohammad al-Kalmira. “She must have left before the strike,” Zasha suggests. Chances are her target and his operatives did, too. Callen (and later...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for NCIS: Los Angeles Season 13 Episode 10 “Where Loyalties Lie.”] Remember last season when the team worked a case that ended with the reveal of a deep fake of Special Agent G. Callen (Chris O’Donnell)? Well, it’s back on NCIS: Los Angeles. In Season 12’s “Imposter Syndrome,” the team was duped by a deep fake of Special Agent Fatima Namazi (Medalion Rahimi). During the investigation, the agents discovered a deep fake had been created of Callen. The case wasn’t tied up neatly with a bow, but there was speculation that whoever was behind the operation knew the team, like Russian spy Katya (Eve Harlow). At the time, Special Agent Sam Hannah (LL Cool J) had called it “the ultimate trap for Anna (Bar Paly).” Is that what’s going on here? At the beginning of “Where Loyalties Lie,” Callen was confused when he received a call from Dr. Hodge (Tom Virtue), following ...

This week on NCIS: Los Angeles, as Callen and Sam raced to Egypt to get a bead on kidnapped colleague Fatima Namazi, they required an assist from Vostanik Sabatino. For loyal viewers of the CBS procedural, the moment was loaded with highly entertaining meaning, given the team’s previous interactions with the CIA officer (played by ER alum Erik Palladino).
The previous episode similarly brought back Bar Paly as the always enigmatic Anna Kolcheck — another reliable player that is intermittently called off of NCIS: La‘s deep, well-established bench.

To appreciate fully the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow, you just have to lean in with the crazy. An antidote to the overly grim Arrow, the spinoff show embraces its sloppiness. The “legends” wear their inefficiency as a badge of honor and each episode of the third season amplifies this while also tightening the bonds between them.
Legends of Tomorrow the Complete Third Season is a three-disc set out now from Warner Home Video, In addition to all 18 episodes, we get the complete “Crisis on Earth-x” crossover with Arrow, Flash, and Supergirl. Taken as a whole, the season introduces a major threat and deals with it, while also pausing to focus on the various characters while also setting up the fourth season, doing a better job than its peers do.
