Laura Ormsby
- Visual Effects
At a very
young age, Laura was introduced to a digital rotoscope by her darling
father; without so much as a hint of apprehension, she took to it,
striving to master the skill in every way, shape and form. However, the
journey at first did not bear fruit in exchange of her intense labour;
indeed, the path of a digital rotoscope artist is not an easy one. For
approximately 15 years, Laura's talents went sparsely recognized. Until one day,
'twas a crisp snowy morn of January 28th, year 2000, Laura was
performing her unhinged talents for a pesky Pantene commercial when her
great recognition sprouted. The head director saw her fingers work, her
precision, her practice, it was like nothing he had ever seen before.
The girl was a natural, an artist. The director immediately commended
Ormsby for her work, her art rather, and got on the phone with a Mr.
Brian Grazer, a man who immediately took his word, enlisting Ormsby's
talents in A Beautiful Mind (2001).
