Millie Bobby Brown’s Best Performances(Photo Credit –Instagram)
Millie Bobby Brown is a household name thanks to her breakthrough role in the sci-fi horror series Stranger Things. The actress turned 20 on February 19, but she has already given some fantastic performances. Today, we look at some of the best performances in her career and rank them from worst to best.
Millie made her acting debut in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as a guest star. She has appeared in popular series like Grey’s Anatomy and Modern Family, but they were like blink-and-miss roles. The actress is one of the rising stars in the entertainment industry who had a skincare line and a production company before she turned 20.
In 2023, Millie Bobby Brown got engaged to her boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi, and she shared the news with her fans via her Instagram account. She has two new films in the pipeline, Damsel and The Electric State.

In Lucile Hadžihalilović’s diverting fantasy, boys are implanted with foetuses, but the film never quite achieves the body horror or eroticism it seems to aim for
Lucile Hadžihalilović’s Evolution swarms and ripples across the movie screen: a weird stingless jellyfish of a film. It drifts through an amphibious world of its own, somewhere between nightmare and reverie: intriguing, but never quite arriving at that pure jab of fear or eroticism or body horror that it appears to be swimming towards. The action takes place on an island of the dystopian future or alternative-fantasy present, in which a race of young boys are tended to by expressionless, eyebrowless, white-clad nurses. Human reproduction is different here: it is the boys who must bear the foetuses, which are implanted by surgery, and there are no adult males – indicating a future of sacrificial obsolescence for these youngsters. Maybe this is how humanity has evolved or is evolving,...

The BBC has called time on the John Simm-headlined Intruders, after eight episodes...
Sad news today for fans of the BBC America/BBC Two co-production Intruders: there's not going to be a season two.
The show, which starred John Simm and Mira Sorvino, had completed its first season run of eight episodes. Based on the novel The Intruders by Michael Marshall Smith, there were plans for more episodes, but they've come to nought.
The news of the show's demise was Tweeted by its showrunner and lead writer, Glen Morgan....
Well, Reverti, this life is over. Intruders will live only in 8 episodes. We can't thank those that supported us enough... (more)
— Glen Morgan (@GlenMrgn) February 27, 2015
Season one of the show didn't set ratings alight in either the UK or the Us, and its dark subject matter always meant it was facing an uphill battle. It's available on DVD now.

Intruders has been cancelled by the BBC.
Showrunner Glen Morgan confirmed that the John Simm series "will live only in eight episodes" after failing to impress the broadcaster with its performance.
The BBC America and BBC Two co-production stars Simm as Whelan, who has escaped a dark, violent past for a quiet life in the Pacific Northwest.
Morgan tweeted: "Well, Reverti, this life is over. Intruders will live only in 8 episodes. We can't thank those that supported us enough..."
Meanwhile, author Michael Marshall Smith - who wrote the book the series was adapted from - praised Morgan and his team for the 'brilliant' job they did on the series.
He wrote: "It was never a given there would be more - though we did discuss ideas for future arcs - and for a variety of reasons the first season had to out-perform the norm in order to continue. Unfortunately it did not.

Things are getting pretty complex in the supernatural world of Intruders. Here's Gerri's review of Ave Verum Corpus...
This review contains spoilers.
1.4 Ave Verum Corpus
Last week on Intruders, Richard continued to kick ass, Jack and Amy realised that they were in desperate need of couples counselling (or in Amy’s case, a good exorcist), and Marcus continued to terrorize the Seattle suburbs as a nine year old girl. Seriously. A nine year old girl.
Episode four starts out with Marcus, asleep in the back seat of a car, dreaming of the time Maddy’s parents bought the beach house and she sat down at the piano, for the first time ever, and playing like a pro. His dreams got darker as he remembered the end of his past life, getting (what I assumed to be) buried alive. Which begs the question, exactly how long has Marcus been squatting like...

New John Simm-starring supernatural drama Intruders, now showing in the UK, gets off to a bumpy but promising start...
Intruders, created by Glen Morgan of X-Files fame (a man who knows his creeping dread), is based on the 2007 Michael Marshall Smith novel. Like Morgan, Smith is not a newcomer to the sci/fi thriller genre. Winner of the Philip K. Dick award, he is a prolific author who has been compared to both Dick and Stephen King.
Such recommendations can have polarizing effects. On one hand these are writers who have made their money churning out commercial paperbacks. On the other hand they have written consistently engaging work for decades.
What does this mean for viewers? That the series is based on a novel by an author with a proven record of success and that it was adapted by a showrunner with a proven record of success in the genre.

Intruders marks BBC America’s arrival into the current climate of moody spook dramas. Produced by The X-Files’ Glen Morgan, this mystical serial impresses from the jarring opening of its first episode. Why? Because it takes risks. If you’ve managed to avoid spoilers prior to watching the premiere, you may be inclined to agree that the show’s premise, even at the end of the episode… isn’t exactly clear. Therein lies the appeal and the mystery of Intruders. It gambles with expectations.
Dark and brooding from the outset, the show opens on an domestic incident that’s never fully explained, before jumping to a double homicide in suburban Seattle. It cuts to a married couple with a stilted relationship. Next up, there’s a nine-year-old girl troubled by visions. Then we see a bearded nerd delivering his conspiracy podcast out of a van. These seemingly isolated vignettes are...

When one character meets a conspiracy theorist in Intruders, a new series debuting August 23 on BBC America, he looks at the wall and expresses disappointment: “What? No ‘I Want to Believe’ poster?” This was a wink to the X-Files roots of showrunner Glen Morgan, who adapted the program from the 2007 novel Intruders by British writer Michael Marshall Smith. “Well, for all of us, it’s kind of the elephant in the room,” laughed Morgan, in a recent interview with Vulture. The series slowly unravels a mystery involving a crew of immortal body-snatchers who can hop into the bodies of mere mortals and make their “hosts” seem a little out of sorts to their friends and family members. It’s an intriguing premise, and takes more than a few episodes to make sense, but like any great installment of The X-Files, not knowing exactly what’s going on is half the fun.

While Orphan Black continues to win over viewers during its smashing second season, it looks like BBC America is hoping for the same kind of success with their newly announced original drama, Intruders. Adapting more thrills and chills, a brand new trailer for the show highlights a creepy atmosphere suggesting mystery and intrigue, staying in touch with their most popular show’s darker material – but will the familiarity pay off?

“Sometimes being alive feels like a long game of chicken on a badly-lit road.” -- Michael Marshall Smith, from the introduction to Ps Publishing's Christine Love for Stephen King’s 1983 haunted car story has always seemed a little light on the ground. It’s not that anyone ever hated Christine; it’s just that the passion with which readers discussed classic novels like The Stand or The Shining or recent books like Bag of Bones or 11/22/63 seemed to pass Christine by. During King’s most popular decade, the novel failed to hit #1 on the New York Times bestseller list (though #2 isn’t exactly a struggle for chart success.) Literary critic and King expert Dr. Michael R. Collings once referred to Christine as a “minor” novel, especially in comparison to the major statement of Pet Sematary, also released that year. Yet in the thirty-plus years since the book was published, Christine has become a cultural touchstone.

TV news and notes:
- The premiere of "Late Night with Seth Meyers" pulled in strong ratings Monday night (Feb. 24). The show drew 3.4 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in adults 18-49 -- slight improvements on Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night" debut in 2009 and substantially above the show's average for this season. As for Fallon, his first "Tonight Show" without an Olympics lead-in did well too with 6.3 million viewers and a 2.1 in the 18-49 demo; "Tonight's" season averages are 4 million viewers and a 1.0 in adults 18-49.
- "Bates Motel" is the latest TV series to get its own after hours show. A&E announced that that the same company that produced "Talking Bad" and "Talking Dead" is helping them create "Bates Motel: After Hours." The first episode of "After Hours" will air as a special following the "Bates Motel" Season 2 premiere on March 3, but it could turn into a full-blown half-hour companion series.

We first told you that BBC America had given the series green light to novel-based Intruders back in October when it was announced as an original series. I am a huge fan of BBC America original series, as they are nearly always excellent in every way, the beloved Orphan Black being a strong recent example.
The good news continues this month with the announcement that the lead role has been filled by John Simm, whom most of us recognize as The Master during David Tennant‘s tenure as Doctor Who. The only slight tinge of disappointment comes with the recognition that he will most likely be sporting an American accent, as he will be playing a Los Angeles-based detective.
It’s interesting to note that, when the series was first announced, there was a great deal of emphasis on the sci-fi aspect of the series. Now they would almost have...

I’ve learned that Mira Sorvino is set as the female lead opposite John Simm in Intruders, BBC America‘s eight-episode original series. Also cast in the drama, based on Michael Marshall Smith’s 2007 novel The Intruders, is James Frain. Written by Glen Morgan, Intruders is about a secret society devoted to chasing immortality by seeking refuge in the bodies of others. It centers on ex-cop Jack Whalen (Simms), who has escaped a dark, violent past for a seemingly quiet life with his wife, Amy (Sorvino, who will play two characters in the same body). When she goes missing, Jack starts an investigation that forces him to confront his past. Frain will play Richards Shepherd, a murderer on a 20-year secret mission who claims to be an FBI agent. Sorvino, repped by ICM Partners, Management 360 and Lichter Grossman, will segue to Intruders after wrapping her recurring role on TNT’s Falling Skies.
