Day Ajose

Diaya Ajose is an American actress and writer born in Washington, DC. She started her career as a child performer with the Taratibu Youth Association, a youth performing arts company that focuses on African/African American culture and history, she utilized traditional and contemporary songs, dance, written word, and social activism to engage the community and enact positive social change through her craft. She also attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts as a theatre major in high school before transitioning to studying the dramatic arts and screenwriting at the University of Southern California. She has been involved in many theatrical productions such as A Winter's Tale by Shakespeare (2016), Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl (2021), and A Mouthful of Birds by Caryl Churchill (2022). She has also acted in the mini-series A Black College Show (2021). She aspires to make positive changes for representation in her field and create art that speaks to diverse audiences.
