This post contains spoilers for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3."
During the prolonged climax of James Gunn's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," the titular superhero team has to break into a high-security spaceship being flown by the villainous High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji). In order to make their way inside, however, they have to fight down a hallway populated by the High Evolutionary's goons, each of them instructed to kill the heroes. In an exhilarating one-take sequence, the Guardians lay waste to the security guards, killing every one of them with aggression and panache.
/Film has written about the dark ambivalence of that scene, pointing out that the Guardians had just learned an important lesson about protecting all life and respecting the strange animal monsters in the High Evolutionary's thrall. In other words, the Guardians has only just learned to be gentler and kinder, and yet they were...

Chris Pratt and James Gunn have never been happier to do press together.
As has been well-documented, there was once a time where they weren’t going to get the opportunity to cap their Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy with one another, so the chance to share a few more laughs and bust each other’s chops is all the more satisfying, especially before Gunn departs the MCU for the Dcu.
Any day now, Pratt also expects to hear from another MCU mainstay, the lovably foul-mouthed Samuel L. Jackson, since Peter Quill landed the MCU’s first F-bomb in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. But the Minnesota-born, Washington-raised actor admits that the whole situation is a bit overblown, much like when network shows such as NYPD Blue and Chicago Hope were lauded for saying the word “shit” for the first time on broadcast television.

“There’s different directors that are like, ‘hey go for it,’ and then there’s directors like James,” reveals stunt coordinator Wayne Dalglish about the close collaboration between the expert stunt team and creator and showrunner James Gunn on HBO Max’s “Peacemaker.” For our recent webchat, he adds that “he’s like ‘I want to see this person, this person, then this person do that, and then within that, have fun! He’s really great at what he does, so for me it’s a learning experience. I’ve worked for other directors and they’re just ‘here’s point A, and here’s the end, go for it,’ and I enjoy that too, so it’s fun both ways.”
The stunt work on “Peacemaker” is so extensive and complicated that Dalglish invited Gaston Morrison to join him as fellow stunt coordinator to divide and conquer the huge undertaking before them.
