Mark 's theatre performances include West End Musical Theatre work having understudied
and played to great acclaim the role of Monsieur Andre in The Phantom
of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre, London and Monsieur Reyer in the
German production at The Neue Flora Hamburg where he again understudied
Andre and performed both in German. He was also delighted to understudy
the role of Mr Sowerberry on the National tour of Oliver! again for
Cameron Mackintosh and directed by Sam Mendes.
Mark's vocal and acting versatility has meant that he has also performed with The Carl Rosa Opera Company and has played such diverse roles as Dr. Falke and Frosh in Die Fledermaus alongside Carry On veteran Fenella Fielding. He was also delighted to understudy Timothy West as Sir Joseph Porter KCB at the Helix, Dublin and assist as Resident Director on the production. Other operetta highlights include performing the role of Sir Joseph Porter with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and touring South Africa with Carl Rosa as Kromov in The Merry Widow, directed by Michael McCaffery.
