Thao always dreamed of being a multi-tasking superstar. As a child, she enjoyed a variety of musical genres, mainly mainstream music like pop, hip-hop, and R&B. Although she loves music, the film industry also intrigued her. Growing up, her biggest influences were Eddie Murphy and Clint Eastwood. At 10, Thao began taking dancing lessons. At 12, Thao choreographed a dance group with her school friends, called The Scotch Girls.
Aside from being a budding entertainer, Thao was also a Greek Orthodox schoolgirl, attending seven years at a Greek Orthodox elementary school named Alphington Grammar, before graduating from an all-girls private school, Methodist Ladies' College.
At school, Thao was an skilled athlete and participated in track and field, tennis and volleyball, among other sports like basketball and table tennis, where she trained with an Olympian's father. In high school, she excelled in her acting performances and even built Shakespeare's Globe Theater out of balsa wood. She spent most of her upbringing in an Italian-built house in the Alphington neighborhood.
After high school, she worked in many jobs, ranging from medical receptionist to supermarket store team member to advertiser to corporate digital marketer, and now, community builder. During this time, Thao continued to work whilst studying Podiatry, Arts, and Business & Commerce at La Trobe and Monash University. She also built businesses while working in the marketing department of diverse corporate organizations. She is the Founder & CEO of Ditox, a digital wellness community that helps the next generation have better online experiences and reduces worldwide social media anxiety and depression. Her vision for Ditox is to help people 'scroll better'.
Thao's ultimate dream is to be a mindful music artist, actress and entrepreneur. Thao has performed some musical gigs in Melbourne and trained as an actress at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts and at the Melbourne Playback Theatre.
Her big break is yet to come.
