Judy is known as a Production Manager and Location Manager for The Expanse (2017 - 2021), and Unit Manager for Mayor of Kingstown (2021).
She is a Chinese-Canadian who grew up in Toronto, having emigrated from Hong Kong with her family. Although she did not go to film school, she has always loved the arts. And to her, art is stories, whether on a canvas, in a symphony or song, or on screens big and small.
Judy gathered her production experience from location managing TV shows and feature films such as The State Within (2006), Holly (2006), Covert Affairs (2012 - 2014), In the Shadow of the Moon (2019), and The Broken Heart Gallery (2020).
In 2014 and 2017, Judy produced award winning short films during the Toronto 48-Hour Film Festivals. 10 Years (2014), written and directed by Elan Dassani, won 2nd Place Best Film, Audience Award, Best Cinematography (Colin Hoult), and Best Ensemble Cast (Kristian Bruun, Jessica Huras, Joey Hunter). The short film also screened at 2015's Hoboken International Film Festival, and World Music & Independent Film Festival.
The Drifter - Chapter IV: The Twins (2017), directed by Michael Thai Nguyen, won 48-Hour Film Festival's Audience Award, Best Ensemble Cast (Krista Morin, Sergio Di Zio, Dimitry Chepovetsky), and Best Musical Score (Tyler Lovell). This dramatic short film also won awards at 2020's Berlin Flash, Direct Monthly Online, and Short to the Point film festivals, and was an Official Selection for Bridge Fest, Golden, White Crown, and Underground Cinema film festivals.
Judy is a full member of the Directors Guild of Canada (Ontario District), Location Managers Guild International (LMGI), and an Apprentice Member of ACTRA Toronto.
