Misha Gonz-Cirkl, is a native New Yorker, born in the Bronx and of Puerto Rican/Spanish descent. A graduate from Performing Arts High School in NYC, she later earned a BA from Cornell University and went on to earn an MBA abroad in Heidelberg, Germany. Although English is her native language she is fluent in both Spanish and German languages. After a six year absence from New York and acting to earn her MBA and work overseas, she returned to New York City to resume a career in acting. She returned to the stage in numerous stage productions in New York and Los Angeles. After one pilot season in LA, the move out West was inevitable. Alongside theater credits, she has accumulated numerous dramatic and comedic credits in television and film: namely in This Is Us, American Horror Stories, Grey's Anatomy, Swagger, Speechless, All My Children, and How To Get Away with Murder. Films credits include, Seberg, In My Pocket and voice-over work includes video games and television looping. Commercials include IBM, Comcast, NYLife and Capital One.
Misha is a student of The Groundlings Theater and School. At the Groundlings is where she started to create and write her own characters, short stories and scripts for the underdogs and sometimes unlikely heroes in society. In 2016, Misha wrote a one-woman show entitled "Hummingbird" - the play highlighted her talents as an actress, writer, co-director and producer. "Hummingbird" the play also featured an original song written by Misha-- earning her the multi-hyphenate status of actor-writer-director-producer and lyricist. "Hummingbird" premiered in Los Angeles at The Whitefire Theatre in 2016. In 2023, her one-woman show premiered off-Broadway at the Theatre Row Theater to sold-out performances, in collaboration with the United Solo festival. In 2017 Misha made her first foray into screenwriting and found her short film "Rapture" winning 1st place in the short film (under 5 minute) category at the San Pedro Film Festival. In 2023 during the WGA's strike and SAG-AFTRA's strike, Misha found herself heeding the call to organize, educate and be part of the next chapter of change within the union and entertainment industry, and she became a union captain on the front-line.
Misha is a proud, founding member of Latinas Acting Up (LAU), an all female, Latin/Hispanic organization born out of the strike and comprised of SAG-AFTRA union members in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago.
Misha volunteers her time as a speaker/mentor and career planning coach to under-privileged students of all ages who have experienced barriers to college and business success. She taught SAT Prep for four years in New York post graduate school and continues to mentor teens via nationwide, virtual career fairs, with the organization Giveback.ngo.
Her current project is recurring in the highly anticipated medical-drama series "The Pitt"; produced by Warner Brothers/Max and John Wells Production (release date TBD). Misha is bi-coastal (LA & NYC) and is a dog mom to her Shepherd/Terrier rescue, Dolly.
