- Writer
- Producer
Jacqueline Mazarella is a writer-actor-producer, best known for her on-camera role as Ms. Morello on the Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated, "Everybody Hates Chris." TV Guide called her "one of the show's funniest, most wince-inducing recurring characters."
She created, produces and stars in "The Oversharer," a web series about a sweet, yet astonishingly raunchy woman looking to make connections with everyone she meets. "The Oversharer" was an Official Selection of 2018 Series Fest, Los Angeles International Film Festival, LA Comedy Festival and LA Shorts Festival, and was directed by Ali LeRoi.
Jackie is also a feature writer, whose stories have most notably highlighted the USC Suzanne Dworek-Peck School of Social Work. Her stories reflect the work of faculty, students and alumni on human rights, systemic racism and inequality, and the criminal justice system.
Her current project, "Ground Zero," is a half-hour PTSD comedy based on her experience in New York City on September 11th, 2001. In addition, she is developing, with a partner, a dark comedy about two amateur sleuths who project all their own frustrations on a dead body in order to solve a crime, inspired by her lifelong fascination with FBI profiling and true crime.
Jackie has a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. Originally from New Jersey, she now lives in Los Angeles.
