Gourav Sharma is an Indian Actor known for his role as Aneel in "Guns & Gulaabs" was born on December 28, 1994, in Mukerian, Punjab. Previously known as "Riz" in "Chandigarh kre Aashiqui" (2021). He shifted to Mumbai in 2022 for his acting career. He will also be seen in the MoMaCu (2023) and Dear Jassi (2023).
Career : Theatre has been Gourav's passion since 2015, and he has honed his acting skills on the stage for years. In 2018, he marked his debut in the world of ad films with an impactful campaign by ESS Global & Punjab Govt, addressing the issue of drugs. The same year, Gourav made his presence felt in the digital world by starring as the villainous character "Guru" in Punjab's first web series titled "Yaar Jigree Kasooti Degree." His versatility in portraying negative roles impressed audiences. Gourav's journey took an exciting turn when he was selected for Haryana's first web show, "Camp Banvas" in 2019. This opened doors for him, and he also worked in several ad films and Punjabi songs.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021) : In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic's first wave in 2020, He gave audition for the Abhishek Kapoor's feature film "Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui." To his delight, he was selected for the movie Alongside Ayushman Khurana & Vaani Kapoor. The film marked his grand Bollywood debut and won him immense love for his hilarious performance as "Riz". In 2021, Gourav embraced a lead role in the Bollywood movie "MoMaCu," directed by Kuldeep Kunal. Acting alongside renowned actors Jatin Sarna and Tushar Dutt, he proved his versatility and ability to shine in diverse roles. Then in year 2022, he received a call from a leading casting company, Casting Bay, which led him to a prominent role in Raj & DK's Netflix original web show, "Guns & Gulaabs." Collaborating with acclaimed actor Raj Kumar Rao was an incredible experience, and the series is set to release on 18th August 2023. Another feather in his cap was being selected for an international project titled "Dear Jassi," directed by acclaimed Hollywood director Tarsem Singh which got selected in Toronto Film Festival September 2023. He has also done an ad films alongside stars like Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam.
Early life: Gourav Sharma was born on 28 December 1994 to a Hindu family in the City Mukerian, Hoshiarpur district, Punjab, India. His father is Parshotam Lal and his mother, Usha Devi lives in Mukerian. He has one elder brother Mintu Sharma, who works as a Manager in HDFC Bank in Mukerian, and a Twin Brother Goutam Sharma who is also pursing Acting career with him. He spent his early childhood in Mukerian. Gourav's educational journey began at A.S. Sen Sec School in Mukerian, where he completed his 12th grade in 2012 with a focus on science subjects. Fuelled by his love for theater and performing arts, he Completed his B.Sc. degree in Non-Medical from SPN College, Mukerian in 2016, where both Brothers got recognized as a Best Actors in youth Festival for straight 2 years. The love for the theater Drives him to Graduate in "M.A. in the theatre and TV department" from Punjabi University Patiala in 2018.
